Well, TFU was never as good as Battlefront and it doesn't have the online potential.

To Lucasarts, the sales would suggest otherwise and at the end of the day thats ALL that matters. They dont care if you think Battlefront is a better game. Plus they can slap an online mode to anything. I think a 3rd Battlefront would be amazing, especially with the tech we are working with, i just dont think we'll get it, at least not any time soon.

I'd be happy if they'd at least re-release an HD port of Battlefront 2 to the consoles. Test the waters, see how many people are still into it.

LucasArts pulling the plug on TFU doesn't have any affect on BF3 though. BF3 was pretty much in development hell before the first even came out. Now that TFU is (thankfully) done with, it may give them more incentive to make BF3 since they have nothing else and how big CoD has become. BF3's sales could make TFU look like Wii Music. I'm not expecting it this gen though.

They should have made a TFU game set during a different time period with a new character. I honestly thought that what they'd do.

I actually like TFU II. The story isn't that good (especially compared to TFU), but I like the gameplay better. It sucks that it's short and that there are only 4 planets/locations though. 3 if you don't count Dagobah, because I don't really understand why they made it playable since it took less than a minute to complete.

I really hope the next Star Wars game (besides Lego Star Wars 3 and TOR), wether it's TFU II or something new, is better and has some sort of online component (co-op and/or multiplayer would be nice).

BTW...I don't think the game suffered because Blackman left. He left late in development. I think they had a smaller team than they did during the development of TFU, since they fired a lot of people before the release of the game. Which is the same thing they did with TFU II.

I'd be really interested in an interview with the new LucasArts president. We haven't heard anything besides the rumor that TFU III is cancelled.

I agree with most of that, I think there biggest mistake was the length of the game. sure the cutscenes look amazing and stuff like that but why show us boba? why show us yoda and dagobah? you can get away with stuff like that on the clone wars show but this is a video game that people want to play the adventures, not sit and watch a movie. here are some

quick fixes for the game:

- eliminate dagobah all together because the level felt so out of place and shoe horned.

- make boba a boss you have to beat in the game. have starkiller face him at the point where he kidnaps juno. then bring him back in the final fight with vader where you take them on simultanously. better then vader/ starkiller part 3000.

- make starkiller become vaders apprentice again in exchange that vader doesnt kill juno. this is a part where we see starkiller hunt down another jedi for a level or 2 because we are showing jedi being killed right?

- get rid of the clone facility all together because it doenst make sense for vader to hunt down jedi only to be cloning them left and right.

- have the game end where starkiller finds out the juno in captivity with vader is actually a proxy type in disguise as a way to trick him. starkiller vader fight with boba mixed in and vader is believed to be killed leaving us seeing starkiller on his way to kill the emperor and free the galaxy.

its not much but we could get more for our buck.

I have to say the second game was short even on hard. It was fun but too short
Hope they work longer on the next one ..
Still Starkiller is awesome.

I think Vader was cloning Starkiller to create an army big enough to take down the Empire. I think thats why the Emperor never made an appearance in the game. He wasn't suppose to know what Vader was doing.

see now wouldnt that have been a neat story idea in the game instead of what we got? I would have loved to have seen what the emperor would have done. also why couldnt they have had a scene where starkiller destroys the cloning facility and ends that side story all together?

I think the Rebels in charge of the cloning facility on kamino puts a bigger emphasis on the Deathstar.

hadn't been paying much attention to the reviews/hype for this game but i finally played through it yesterday
it only took me 4 hours to finish

not much to say that hasn't already been said

• the vader fight was awful
• the yoda scene was shoe horned in
• starkiller in the last battle had hilariously terrible voice over work
• neither ending left me wanting a 3rd one
• it kinda crapped all over the ending/significance of the first one
• boba should have had more than 30secs of screentime
• why no jedi fights ?
• the challenges are rediculously hard

all in all kinda dissapointed as i really enjoyed the first one and i'm a bit of a star wars geek

I'll agree that there's no reason to put him in the game for two minutes and not have him do anything... but Fett's a bit of a Catch 22.

He's immensely popular, and fans would want a big, epic fight.

The problem is, Starkiller's so uber-powered in these games (he slaps Vader around!), that he'd crush Fett with no more difficulty than he does a Stormtrooper.

I have no idea why they haven't done one with Boba. Have it begin with him crawling out of and then blowing up the Sarlacc.
