Drama USA_White Collar Series Thread

Me too! Neal is charming and cool but DeKay just has an every man thing about him that makes him incredibly endearing. I love DeKay in this role. He plays it so perfectly straight. The whole "menacing," exchange was hillarious. The scene with Elizabeth giving him the watch was also great. I love how he seemed to feel so awkward about her giving him the gift and was almost relieved when the phone rang which gave him an excuse to get out of it. DeKay plays the role in a wonderfully understated realistic manner which is a perfect foil to Bomer's over the top, eccentric, charming, fantasy role. DeKay is really nailing this role and I think that is a big reason of why I am loving the show so much.
DeKay definitely does the straight man role well. There were two character bits I loved near the beginning of this episode: when Neal starts mouthing gibberish really giddily and Peter's like "don't do that in the office" and then when they get the funding for the party and Neal gives Peter a friendly smack in the chest and Peter, with this stone-cold face, goes "don't hit me." DeKay and Bomer have really great buddy chemistry.

Great ep on Friday, looking forward to next week. This is easily one of my fave shows of 09.

Another 5 million viewers last week by the way.

along with cougar town, sherri, and flash forward (barely), white collar is the only other new show that's cutting the mustard for me this season. so far so good.

Okay, they better have a good story for whatever Kate is doing. She couldn't just send him a telegraph through the Pony Express, get a pager, or something?

Callie Thorne, damn she is the definition of hot.

That was the best ep of the series so far last night, loved every minute of it.

Yeah, it was great. Moss gets more awesome with every episode. :hehe:

One question: Did anyone understand the thing with the coffee pot? I felt like I completely missed something there.

Yeah, it was fast and I was pretty damn confused.

But other than that what a great episode. It got alot cleverer. And that chick had a damn fine rack... anyhoo...

"Look's like she's a regular Cyndiana Jones."

*a WTF look from Neal*

The coffee pot was a bit of an office joke. The one who empties a pot is always supposed to fill it back up. But no one ever does because it's seen as the lowest job. So the next person who wants coffee invariably gets pissed when they find it empty (never get in the way of someone during a caffeine craving ;))

So, Moss was giving her a choice. You could fill up the coffee pots and I go talk with him, or you can go back to talking with him because I'll 'have to' refill the pot. Which is worse? Apparently refilling the coffee wasn't quite as bad. :p

Neal is such a cool cat. After Mad Men, definitely my favorite new show I've gotten into.

1. Psych
2. Burn Notice
3. Mad Men
4. Legend of the Seeker
5. White Collar

I keep forgetting, but did anyone else notice that in the Pilot, when they showed cuts of NY streets, I could swear to God I saw quick cuts of Peter on his motorbike and red helmet in SM2.

Yeah,I thought that was spliced in there but I figured I was just being nerdy.

It's probably just stock footage. Although I'm not sure why USA would have footage from a Columbia/Sony movie. USA's part of NBC/Universal.

Tiffany Amber Thissen is preggos. Wonder if the split shooting schedule will allow her to have the baby without missing the show?

They were already well into filming before she was impregnated and I believe it's going to be 13 episodes this season. Doubt that has an immediate effect (that being the key word) on White Collar.

I just had a weird thought, could Mozzie be involved in Kate's disapperance somehow? Either he's ashamed and is trying to help Neal or he wants whatever Kate is leading Neal to cause she wouldn't tell Mozzie since Neal was in prison and that's why she's being so cryptic.

It's New York, do you know how many people probably ride a motorbike while wearing a red helmet?

I was just thinking about this yesterday... I wonder how many episodes they currently have filmed. If she just got pregnant, isn't it like 3 months or something before it really starts to show?

Well she's expecting in May so I was actually thinking more about if it comes back for a summer run then she might not appear. It doesn't matter to this inital 13 eps.

...How the Hell should I know?

I remember the shots. They were the same in SM2. That one low shot where Peter tried to avoid being between two vehicles. He had the same jacket too.

Mozzie was pretty awesome. Loved how they "stole" that car and how Peter tried to hide Neal's reflection when he was raiding the journalist's drawer..
