And they didn't do the character justice either. And they made the storyline was some interdimensional badass created the offspring so that Carnage and Venom could work together to get some jewel that made the interdimensional guy come to Earth. WEAK!

If you want to do Carnage justice, don't do him in a Saturday Morning Cartoon way

It all depends if he signs on for the next 3 movies, and if Sony is willing enough to bring back the whole Venom/Carnage era. I was only saying in my post above that they can make Carnage fit into a PG-13 movie. As far as Carnage coming to the big screen, I think it is a little bit down the road for that.

The thing is, the reason Raimi likes Venom is because of Eddie Brock. Eddie Brock makes Venom an appealing character for the movies. Venom is for the fanboys, but Brock has actual character value. With Brock dead...it would be a cop out to have Carnage imo. Just do something new. I think #4 will have to be played out WAY more carefully than #3. Not saying that #3 isn't going to kick butt, I'm saying its going to be hard to pump out continuous quality Spidey films after this one. They've gone through

Movie #2 - Denial...doesn't want to be
Movie #3 - Obsession...overcomes him

Wether people want to believe it or not, venom is the villain that actually gives spider-man 3 a fighting chance at the BO to successfully compete against POTC3 and the other summer blockbusters. SM3 needs venom and thats why he's in it.

Really. SM3 has huge competition from Shrek 3, Pirates and others opening within a few weeks of it. It needs every advantage it can possibly get.

if carnage was in a future sequel then there would be no stabbing peopole in chests and stuff like that, it wouldnt show carnage killing people, venom is a much more popular and much more COOLER! character than carnage will ever be, carnage killings would have to be off screen if he was ever in a spidey sequel.

the spidey movies will surley continue, the movies are so succesful and have grossed so much money that it really is hard to say no.
