my roomate had mtv on the other day and there was this song called wipe me down and none of the people in the video could dance they would just bounce up and down being recored in slow motion , they must of said wipe me down a thousand times . thats whats wrong with mtv

That's what's wrong with the music industry in general. Somehow a song now consists of the exact same five seconds of beats (no real instruments) repeated over and over with the same one or two lines throughout the entire song.

The music industry struggles with breaking certain artists of a genre because they dont understand the market. They just believe in going all out. They gotta know there segments.

and it requires talent to write and arrange a song that seems so simple, yet has some pretty complicated arrangements
