I doubt Hunter is knocking japanese wrestling. i've learned more about japanese wrestling just by reading his posts in my time here. Maybe he just doesn't think much of Devitt.
Well many IWC smarks are way too high on some wrestlers who they say would be a great fit in WWE when in reality some of them wouldn't even make it in NXT.
Does anyone think WWE still has a hard time making people care about the IC/US title division? I mean they got the Us title on Ambrose whom is developing a program with Christian and Axel vs Miz for the IC title going on. Not bad but I feel that with WWE having 6 hours of weekly television there is room for more emphasis on those belts.
Its a combination of them not putting enough emphasis on the belts (mostly this) as well as them having too many belts for their own good.
In particular, the US title and the World Heavyweight Championship don't really need to exist, ESPECIALLY now that the brand split is over.
To be fair though, the WHC existing is more understandable than the US title, which really serves no function that the Intercontinental Title doesn't already.
The reason the US title needs to be dissolved is that same reason the European Title WAS dissolved. There's just no reason for it to exist when the IC title is still around.
Or because he wasn't interested enough to actively pursue a WWE contract. Considering that Adrian Neville (whom was given the spot monkey tag) has made it into the company and became a popular character in NXT, I'm sure Devitt easily could if he wanted to. We're talking about a company that employs Jack Swagger, Fandango and Ryback after all....
Not to mention, Im sure WWE could use a guy Iike him in the midcard that can put on matches like this: http://youtu.be/HZt01rQmZm4
Just saying....
So basically we can agree that a wrestler not being in big promotions doesn't automatically mean that he/she is not good enough to adapt beyond workrate right? Lol
This is definitely true...If they had only the WWE, WHC, IC, Tag, and Diva's title, it could give WWE less things to make look directionless.

Hunter's arguable the biggest fan of Japanese wrestling so I heavily doubt he'd knock it. Its definitely the latter.
I just kinda wish a popular Japanese wrestler would get a push in WWE.
but since when has WWE ever really encouraged that kind of spotty work?
I think Cena and Del Rio put on a good match, too.
