Vince Doesn't See Money in the Wrestling Thread

That...sounds about right. But you can probably lump Survivor Series 2000, and Unforgiven 2000 in there also.

Everything else was gold. I bought every PPV from that year on VHS or DVD. That's when WWF was at its peak creative and wrestling wise. Wrestling felt like "must-see" tv.

Backlash 2000 was my favorite show from that year. Every title, except for the Women's belt was defended. Even the Light Heavyweight title had a great match thanks to Malenko/Scotty 2 Hotty. That top rope DDT to this day is still sick.

I actually thought SS2000 and Unforgiven 2000 were good shows even they could've been better. And yeah Backlash 2000 was an absolutely amazing show. WWF in 2000 was so great. As far as wrestling quality and roster talent that was arguably their best year ever.

Backlash 2000 was great all round. The payoff at the end was so massive.

The booking of WWE during the year 2000....The late Chris Kreski is to thank for that, even when Stepanie started throwing her weight around. Everything Vince Russo wished he was as a booker lol.

Despite only a few matches and a lot of promos/moments, was not a fan of WWF in 1999. I guess their mentality was "We're hot **** right now so we shouldn't care about a quality product".

Anything Austin related, the Corporate Ministry angle and formation and Helmsley's emergence as the Game at the end of the year were the highlights for me.

It just sucks that Austin wasn't around for most of 2000. I really wanted that triple threat between he, Rock, and Haitch that was supposedly to happen at Survivor 99.

Btw, I also think Rock and Austin's return bout for the title at Backlash 99 was far better than their WM15 bout.

I fully agree. What a dumb thing for the WWE to say. Everybody knows that Chicago Blackhawks fans can't read.

Reading doesn't win titles. I guess a Vancouver fan wouldn't understand. :o

By the way, what the hell does that face I used even stand for?

And to stay on topic...who's watching Impact?

I already lost count of all the brothers in this promo.

Wow, Suicide's music... just... crap.

Those 3 look so small compared to the Hulkster.

Aren't all TNA themes?

Siegfried&Roy Bad Influence FTW!

Bad Influence is probably the only reason why I even remotely pay attention to TNA anymore.

I thought Fully Loaded was the best PPV of 2000, the triple main event was excellent and it had a good cage match for the IC title between Rikishi and Val Venis.

Daniel Bryan bumped into a familier face on their tour

Is that KENTA?

Personally, I really wanted to se Mick win the title that night so he could have had his WrestleMania glory moment. He could of then relinquished it the night after.

At the time so did I as I thought HHH was bound to lose and I was sick of The Rock, but in hindsight Mick would never have accepted that finish and he'd have been right.

There has been a good handful or so that I really liked. Christian Cage, Bully Ray (before Aces & 8's), Abyss (old theme), MCMG (not the original crappy one), Bad Influence's last theme (don't understand why they changed it?) Magnus' last theme (same as Bad Influence)

A majority of them sound alike though or sound like no effort was put into them.

Really digging AJ's current theme, Evil Ways.

AJ Styles' old theme will always be my favorite TNA theme. I do like his new theme too.

I almost don't want Kaz and Daniels to break up lol. They're so good together.

This is the first time I've heard of Kreski. He was the head booker during 2000? Most of the briliance during that year belonged to him? Dang. Sad that he passed away.

But neither are as good as their WM17 epic.

TNA needs to keep these 2 together since they broke of The Greatest It Factor tag team. They're the best tag team in wrestling today.

Great pep talk by Chavo for Hernandez,I want a new Super Mex Hernandez push with a world title reign
