Viola Davis/Shonda Rhimes Team Up for 'How To Get Away With Murder'

first three episodes synopses:

301: “WE’RE GOOD PEOPLE NOW” | Air Date: 9/22/16
With Wallace Mahoney’s murder unsolved and Frank’s whereabouts unknown, the “Keating 5” struggle to move on with their lives as they enter into their second year of law school. Meanwhile, Annalise’s reputation at Middleton University is on the line, so she creates a criminal law clinic where the students will compete to try their own pro bono cases. Annalise also wrestles with a decision involving Frank that could change everything.

302: “THERE ARE WORSE THINGS THAN MURDER” | Air Date: 9/29/16
With her job in jeopardy, Annalise confronts the Middleton University Board; secrets come to light as the Keating 5 compete for the case of a battered woman accused of killing her husband.

303: “ALWAYS BET BLACK” | Air Date: 10/06/16
Annalise presents a high-profile murder case that tests the Keating 5’s morals; Laurel makes a startling discovery through a surprising source.

Damn, Meggy's an actual person. :funny:

As for that ending.... [blackout]based on Annalise's reaction and the likelihood of who would've been in the house at that time of night, I'd assume Nate, but I know they never really are set on one specific result when they do their flashforwards, so I guess time will tell[/blackout].

I think it's funny that they've made it a plot point how these kids are most likely terrible students at this point. My one negative in all this is the answer for Mahoney's death and that, not only was Wes apparently not in on it, but he actually took it hard. Like... come on. Hope they're pulling one over on us. :o

I thought the premiere was so much better than season 2's premiere. They don't have that random sibling case anymore and the show is focusing on the main cast. I liked that they are making Frank the bad guy of the season and that ending was just really exciting!

yeah that was my biggest thing too
hopefully they stick with that, explore the characters you already have (that we know so little about!)

I wonder how much of a boost PR wise the show gets if Aja Naomi King gets an Oscar Nomination for Birth of a Nation. From what I have heard, most of the positive buzz from that film comes from her performance.

No one's talking about the new episode?
With Olly being there, are they implying that it's Connor? I mean it's probably not him but still :csad:.

nah, they totally did the Ollie reveal first to make people freak out about Connor for the next few weeks...it's too obvious a move imo

They kind of went overboard with some of the browbeating the "white privilege" thing and how the guy is nothing but a "meat stick" for her to have sex with. I guess it's okay though because he's white and she's black.

As to who the new body is, not a clue yet. They are making a few obvious setups and I doubt it will be any one of those.

Dat slap tho.

That was a slap he needed earlier in the episode. He needed a Johnny Cage style nut punch at that point.

One of the Keating Five better be the one #WhosUndertheSheet, that would be a bold move for the show. Though I think it will be Annalise's boyfriend. Like how long could they keep giving that guy some role. Like if he's assisting to Annalise's cases, okay but no.

I'm figuring it's either him or Frank but Frank still has more use in the series as the fixer type so likely it won't be him.

agreed - he's been like the only one prominently hanging around her house in every episode, plus like you said he's kinda been a dead-end in terms of storyline

OMG :wow:. [BLACKOUT]Who do you guys think is the baby daddy?![/BLACKOUT]

It's quite obvious though. [blackout]Frank[/blackout]
It's so obvious of a choice which is why I think it's [BLACKOUT]Wes[/BLACKOUT]

Yup, that's why I'm thinking it could be [BLACKOUT]Wes[/BLACKOUT] too. Plus, [BLACKOUT]just last episode Meggy was saying how Wes was into Laurel and they did kiss last season, so it's possible something might happen between them.[/BLACKOUT]

I'd just like to say that I'm happy Famke got a show of her own, but I'm also pissed because Eve is one of my favorites - her and Viola are the best in scenes together

Whereas I don't wish for her show to fail, I do hope that it lets her have a little time for Eve to pop in on business from time-to-time lol

If it's [BLACKOUT]Wes[/BLACKOUT] that means that [BLACKOUT]she's[/BLACKOUT] only [BLACKOUT]at most 4 weeks pregnant[/BLACKOUT].

So Frank is going after [BLACKOUT]their sh-tty fathers[/BLACKOUT]. Granted that he's [BLACKOUT]not a rapist/molester like Wes and Bonnie's dads[/blackout], does Laurel[blackout]'s dad count in Frank's mind? [/BLACKOUT]

remember when annalise chose famke janssen over a whole bottle of wine??? I AGREE

unless laurel has been hiding a baby bump for 5+ months, frank can't be the father.

It's the flashforwards that she's pregnant in. The two of them might hook-up between now and the night of the fire.

Anyone else think Annalise will eventually hook up with Dean Maria LaGuerta? I sense some chemistry between them. But maybe that's just my dirty little mind at work.

Hate sex is a definite possibility.

Connor: "I wanted to see if you'll think about someone beside yourself for once!"
"You mention my name to the police and I'll kill you."

Also Connor: *consistently self-centered*
*always quick to point fingers and play the blame game*
*came close to ratting on Wes back in S1*

lol okay, gurl. :o
