Visual Effects of X-Men 3

They had time to put in that ugly transvestite arclites' shockwave! They had time to add that stupid purple haired skank teleporting through a wall! They had time to add Quill who was a USELESS, unimportant and weak piece of crap.

But no time to add in a Phoenix effect for the most important person in the movie?

different effects were done by different companies and different people... the phoenix effect would have been cut out because either they A) didnt have enough time to finish it or B) looked akward on film or was not completed

people really need to understand things before they make ignorant comments

From what i read about Computer effects, it will probably take MONTHS in advance to render just afew minutes of firery phoenix effect on the big screen.

well i know with pixar it can take nearly a year to render one of there movies ... so ya certain effects take months

But I wanted to see Phoenix fire in the movie Not only does the Phoenix in X3 not tie in with X2, but she doesn't feel like "The Phoenix".

I little obvious... Doesn't tie well cause in X2 was a little show of flames and in X3 we have nothing, nothing near that. Not even a clue. Some say that is the DARK Phoenix, but I don't buy that not here nor in China.

You miss interpreted what I was saying in my post. It was no hissy fit. By stating the examples of all those other mutants who had plenty time for their effects to be developed, it was obviously not a factor in having the Phoenix effects or not. There was ample time for them to seam together an effect for Jean if there was time for Arclite and such to have their moment. I was saying that time WAS NOT a deciding factor in the outcome of Phoenix's presentation.

Just because I dont say it long winded and with fancy words the first time doesnt mean it is ignorant. You jumping to wrong conclusions about my opinion is what is ignorant.

Im sorry if I dumb-down my writing sometimes, its just so frustrating to type out all these grammar monstrosities.

X3 - Ice Blast/Beam


I think it ties together magnificently, and it even shows improvement in his skill regarding his powers. Perfecto.

The flames are synonymous with Phoenix...which is why many people missed that about the Phoenix Effects. While her powers are not the flames themselves it just adds to her character and is something that was in the comics and it would have been nice to have.

To me it would have been really freakin' awesome to have the Phoenix flames but what can we do.

no i agree.. but too many people get "synonymous" confused with a defining atribute .. the flames arn't her character, and are equivilant to iceman icing up imo... least we finally got that, but i still think with, or without flames, Famke inbodied dark phoenix perfectly

No - it's always too subjective.

Fill in the gaps of what has happened in X3, and it might make for a better film.

That is, if you're that good enough of a writer, not just a mere pipe dream realised...

I already have a better film in my head, thanks to X3. By that, the sub plots are resolved, the underused characters get more development, the cure is a lot more controversial etc...

Rather than re-imagining it entirely like a lot of fans do.
