I realize they both still have a few loyal supporters, but for the most part X-Men Origins and X3 are regarded as the worst of the X-Men franchise. I think a poll pitting the two against each other would be interesting.

So which was worse?

My vote would have to go to Origins. It was pretty much an unwatchable disaster. It had an incoherent plot where Wolverine pointlessly fought characters simply to give the audience their fix of action scenes. I felt like I was watching a collection of video game "boss battles". Even the action and the visual effects were terrible.

Hard choice, in terms of plot and execution I say Wolverine Origins was the worst. It looked cheap, the story plot was terrible and some of the characters were terrible like Deadpool and Emma among others. I've seen Wolverine Origins only twice and the first time it was when it leaked online before release. The Last Stand while bad as well it at least had a few cool moments and didn't look cheap for the most part, which was FOX's most expensive movie at the time.

X-Men The Last Stand was so disappointing. I expected a a good Phoenix story especially after the ending of X2 and we didn't even get Phoenix rising from the lake scene. They killed Cyclops and Xavier early and then the story felt rushed like if they wanted to get to the action scenes as quickly as possible.

The 2004 - 2009 FOX marvel stuff is of the past now and they seem to be fixing quite a few mistakes.

Origins! Hated it!

Just for the production level, it looked really cheap. you know I can sit and shut my brain while watching Fox's other comic-book movies like the Fantastic Four movies, Daredevil and Elektra and I could do that because the visuals are not bad. But Origins: Wolverine, the script is awful and the production looks cheap.

I chose Last Stand. The movie tried to tell both the Phoenix story and the Cure story and the end result hurt both.

Origins was more entertaining to me, Weapon Xi didn't bother me that much as it wasn't really Deadpool, and they didn't advertise Deadpool like Mandarin was advertised.

I like Blob and Victor quite a bit.

The Phoenis story was set up from the first movie with Jean being shown as still learning, the wave looked to have triggered something in her by her expression. Then in X2 her powers were starting to go out of control and of course her burning before her sacrifice. Everything was set for the third acto to complete the story and while some of it was okay, i hated her being Magnetos puppet and just standing there most of the time.

We are In agreement.I have called the last stand worst X-Men film.Yeah worse than Origins. While neither film Is great If forced to Inless I am doing a
X-Men film Marathon I would prefer origins over Last Stand.

Last stand was followup to one of best comic book films ever-X2 and failed
Miserbly.

I am not big fan of deadpool In origins but the mandarian In Iron Man 3 makes
deadpool look good.At least you had Ryan Reynolds somewhat close to deadpool during team X mission part of film.

I hate what was done to Cyclops in X3, but I can still watch it. As for Origins, it has not sat well with me since I first watched it a few weeks ago, and I have no desire to watch t again.

"Origins". At least I actually liked some of "The Last Stand" which I can't say for "Origins". It's a shame that both Gambit and Deadpool showed up in it.

I'd argue TLS was easily the more disappointing film, squandering two great plots at once, benching several important characters and effectively killing the entire series off on a bum note...

...BUT Origins is a much, much worse film. It looked terrible, the characters were bland, the plot made no sense what-so-ever. Just a failure all around. You know a film stinks when the tiny flashes of Wolverine's history in X2 are infinitely more interesting than an entire film dedicated to it.

TLS stand is the worst by far. Origins was a bad film, but it was just poorly made and took a dump over Wolverine and Deadpool's characters. TLS butchered two classic X-Men storylines, EVERYONE was written poorly and ooc, and it took a gigantic dump on the entire franchise.

X-Men 3 was a weak film, but X-Men Origins: Walverine was just horrible, almost everything in it was bad.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine was just bad. Horrible.

And I just love X-Men the Last Stand. Yes, love.

Origins at least had Liev Schreiber being a fantastic Sabretooth, and Ryan Reynolds being an awesome Wade Wilson for all of the ten minutes that we saw him. So it at least has that going for it.

Still Last Stand had a stronger cast and just from a film-making point of view, its much better. The cinematography, visual effects, production design, the costumes, the script is less cliche and it looks more expensive.

The cinematography was bland and tonally inconsistent with the first two films, the actors were fine but their characters were all written badly out of character with the previous films. There were really sloppy editing mistakes (apparently it took Magneto and his army hours to walk across the Golden Gate bridge, since it was day when they started and then night in the next scene). That movie took a crap on the entire franchise, not just two characters.

Call it bland and inconsistent but it was still better than the cinematography of Origins, which by the way, looked like a made for TV movie.

And critics seemed to agreed that TLS is a better movie than Origins. Just check the consensus on Rotten Tomatoes and Meta Critic. Even Bryan Singer prefers X3 more than Origins.

Voted for Origins…my simple take…both X3 and Origins are flawed but I think the good outweighs the bad in X3, while in Origins, the bad outweighs the good.

Wolverine Origins felt very 1 step above a SyFy movie, but it wasn't a high step.

Origins is a hundred times worse. X3's problem is the script whereas Origins' problem is literally everything in the movie. I can't even finish it anymore it's so bad.

Origins.

It should not be a surprise that the worst film in the X-Men trilogy was written by the genius who wrote one of the worst films of all time, A Good Day to Die Hard.

To be honest, I hated the original. I was really bored with it.

I liked First Class a lot, X2 was good and even X3. Origins was alright, IMO. (Haven't seen The Wolverine yet)

Origins = Alright? If that's so then what can be considered a bad movie?

The only good things about Origins was that it led to the nerdiest moment of my life, a near shouting match over whether or not Wolverine was born with bone claws in the comics.
