So, we keep seeing Rhodey in the promotional materials - he shows up at Tony's party in the trailer and in the still shots.

We have yet to see War Machine, though. Is Rhodey going to appear in-store? Does he make it through the film alive?

I'm surprised that there's been so little buzz around him!

If he comes back, he better be in the War Machine suit. Having Iron Patriot interacting with Captain America is overkill and super cheesball.

My guess is that Ultron kills him at the party and he will only get one or two lines if that.

Kills him at the party you say?lol

I guess he leaves the team for the Washington to protect the President

Or Tony asks him to keep an eye on Pepper

1. Are you sure that's after the party?

2. If Marvel had a costume for him, they would have shown it off. He's clearly in the film to be killed off before he can suit up. It's going to be the same with Maria Hill and Nick Fury. The lack of marketing for these three implies that they're only going to be in the film to die.

I have a feeling early on that the War Machine suit will be compromised by Ultron, resulting in either Rhodey dying/being injured or him not having another suit he or Stark feel comfortable using.

Pretty sure the scene of them examining the mangled body of the Ultron that had...more of a body at the party...occurs after the party

Good point. It looks more like they're examining what went wrong instead of building it or wondering how it got there considering that Stark and Banner create Ultron.

So why aren't Marvel giving us a costume? What's with the secrecy? Plus Thor is stating his line in what looks like the exact same room.

1. Pretty sure; this is the same scene that Thor has his full armor on, where he proceeds to put a raise Tony from the ground by grabbing onto his neck. I doubt that everyone would be in such a good much to party after something like that took place.

2. You really think that just because someone isn't "marketed" in a film, then then they're just there to die? Really? Did Pepper Potts die in "The Avengers"? No, and most people didn't even know that she was going to be in the film. She was seen in one shot for the International trailers. Did Peggy die in "The Winter Soldier"? Did Thanos die in "Guardians"?

Probably because the story doesn't involve/require Rhodey to get into costume and join the Avengers in their fight against Ultron.

Maria Hill is no longer a part of SHIELD since the organization was disbanded, thus it doesn't make sense for either her or Fury to wear their shield uniforms.

I said this before, and I will say it again: No one's gonna die in this film.

Normally I'd add in a snarky, "Ultron will" but I get a feeling that Guardians 2 is going to be Annihilation Conquest.

For what it's worth there is a War Machine toy in the tie-in toy line.

Why would you market those 3? You have Ultron/Cap/BW/Hawkey/Iron Man/Hulk/QS/SW/Vision maybe even Black Panther. The film is still months away, all the marketing now is about showing it's on it's way and wetting our lips.

The great thing about Ultron is he never dies...as long as his program is out there int he Cloud...he is alive

And even with all that there is at least one Nick Fury figure confirmed for the AOU line so I'm not sure where they're getting the idea Marvel is downplaying or not marketing these characters so they can kill them off.

On the subject someone pointed out that in one of the behind-the-scenes shorts that aired on Disney, War Machine's helmet could be seen in the costume department.

Finally. Some confirmation that War Machine will suit up. I just need to see some Maria Hill images now.

And...it would be nice if WM appeared in the movie...not just as a toy
