Infinity War War Machine/Rhodey... Like or Don't Like?

I personally wouldn't be fussed if any of widow, rhodey, vision, get the can.

I would be fine with the deaths of Black Widow, War Machine & Hawkeye. But I would be really upset if Vision doesn't make it. I really like him.

I think I preffered bettany as Jarvis tbh.
And I quite like renners Hawkeye.

But it wouldn't be a massive loss if any of them were to go.

Oh and I think out of every single really relevent mcu character rhodey has been used the worst.

He literally didn't do much of anything until the airport scene. And that was him about 5 films in. Even in age of ultron vision took out everyone before he had a chance do to anything, nothing has summed him up more. He's easily the most disposable in my book. But after civil war its unlikely he will go. Shame as don cheadles a great acror

I like Renner as Hawkeye just fine, and I like Hawkeye in general. I just wouldn't be upset if he was killed off. I trust they would do a good job with it & make it memorable.

The most I've seen him do anything was in Ironman 3. I didn't mind him at all until Civil War. He came off as a real jerk in that movie. I was disappointed he didn't die.

I get that Rhodey was a career officer but they didn't illustrate why he supported the Accords to the extent that he did. He came off as a jerk toward Cap and Falcon for their opposition. I'd wish we got some dialogue early on where he explained (using reasoning as an officer) that they were potential weapons and that he felt they best be used with the US military and not independent of them. Or something to that effect.

He's really been under-written in the series. Now whether that's just because they don't want him to upstage Stark or simply because they don't really see him as a great character to begin with.... Civil War is the only film I enjoyed Rhodes in.

Hope he gets some things to do in the next films. Like exploring his injury for a scene or 2.

It will be interesting to see if Rhodey is still a paraplegic by then or if he will have the use of his legs back

I'm hoping for the same. At least 1 scene explaining the rehab he's undergone since the injury. Give an actor like Cheadle something to work with rather than simply agreeing with Stark.

Being honest Rhodey being paralysed in civil war didnt make much of any sense. weve seen tony have similar level crashes, especially when he flew through that massive flying fish thing in avengers and walked away with nothing but a scratch.

tony's suit and all dampeners were working at 100%

Also, that wasn't nearly as high of a fall, IIRC. Tony was maybe ten stories up, Rhodey was several times higher. Combine that with Rhodey's suit being totally dead, compared with Tony's suit being basically fully functional ( if off-balance and off-kilter ), and I can believe the difference.

Btw, am I not the only person who thinks that the Vision. . . well, wasn't *consciously* aiming at Rhodey, but subconsciously totally was aiming at Rhodey? After all, this happened *right* after Wanda was taken out by Rhodey, with the Vision holding her unconscious, injured form. And then he just "accidentally" misses Falcon with an energy blast that has enough power to completely take out the far more durable War Machine armor?

Falcon dodged the blast

Yes, Falcon dodged. . . as he'd been dodging the whole fight, nigh-constantly. And Vision took a shot at the guy whose all dodgy. . . right when he *just by chance* was lined up so that a dodged shot would hit one of his own team, rather than empty air? And it just happens to be the guy who blasted the crap out of Wanda, right beforehand?

I liked the character in Iron Man and Iron Man 3, and his scenes in later movies.

They really wernt that much higher tan ten stories, the jet had just taken off.

Either way that armour, big hit or not, should of kept him just fine.

As it goes they decided to write that it didn't, which weakens both his and tonys characters for the next film.

Although I always thought it was highly ridiculous cap managed to win against tony so yeah.

TBH Vision blasted him from behind there is no reason Falcon should have "seen it coming" other than plot so saying that vision should have know it would have been dodged to give him cover to hit war machine.. I dunno about that

Rhodey better bring the firepower in Wakanda with Stark battling Thanos.

I'm ready to see him drop them BOMBS

I love seeing both WM and Falcon swooping over the battlefield in that final shot with everyone else charging. Didn't notice either of them the first few times but it makes an awesome shot even more awesome.

It was so SWEET. They really bringing in the firepower. I hope both have more to do this time around. I loved their scene togetehr in Civil War.

Those 2 BAMF :sly:

Looks like they are going to get good scenes in the Wakanda battle. Will be interesting seeing how Rhodey ends up with those mostly pro-Cap guys.

I'm in agreeance. I hope we can finally see WM let loose. So often he's been kinda tame in comparison to the firepower that Stark has.

Cheadle hasn't spoken a lot about the film or his role, but I'd guess it's probably less or similar to his screentime/importance in Civil War.

As long as his contribution is badass I can live with that.

I like him and his current arc having to deal with being physically disabled. My question is whether he'll be kept around as a sort of replacement Iron Man once/if Tony Stark dies/retires post-Avengers 4. (I'm betting he'll survive; they've already injured him once, so an actual death this soon afterwards might come off as being too much.)

That would be intriguing to see. I was so sure he might bite it by A4.

I just hope they don't gloss over his injury. It can def be something for Rhodey to standout some.

If he survives A4 then it would be good to have a character with serious firepower around for future films.

It's weird seeing Don Cheadle in the MCU. Seems so different than films he did over a decade ago (Traitor/Hotel Rwanda/Crash) or even the Oceans trilogy.
