No way they have another team like they with the this film. I mean who can top all those actors? It had a great blend of people. So now are we gonna start casting the next Inception team?

I don't know why, because why would we want an Inception done all over again? It would be just a rehash to me. That seemed like the biggest trick they could pull in dream espionage. They already pulled it off. How can they do it again and make it just as good?

Yes they're some unnecessary sequels, but then again there are some unnecessary first films that get made

That's being a little too harsh. The film has made more than 800 million worldwide. For a non-sequel and non-adaptation, that's a staggering feat. Turning such a tremendous success into a cash cow franchise is a natural and expected direction any studio would take. I'm not saying I support the idea, just that it's understandable why WB would want to do this.

WB isn't going to do it because Nolan isn't going to do it. WB is running a business so ofcourse they want a sequel but the movie doesn't lend itself to a sequel and I think that Nolan knows that. It's just talk people.

With all due respect, this is a lazy question remarked by non-thinkers. Fiction is infinite. Stories can always be expanded upon. The question is if Nolan himself could come up with a fascinating follow-up since he'd likely be the only one to helm a sequel. But I have no doubt there's some random idea out there that could brilliantly continue the narrative introduced by Inception. Maybe not necessarily following Cobb, but certainly the world inhabited by him and his team.

Yup, after the TDK sequel, Nolan might very well become a household name, the new James Cameron or Steven Spielberg, if you will. Once the words 'From the director of 'The Dark Knight', 'Inception' and 'TDK-sequel-whatever' flash on the screen, it will put asses in seats. The cumulative worldwide total of his 3 biggest films - Batman Begins, TDK and Inception alone is more than 2 billion dollars right now. And that number is only going to go up, once the TDK sequel scores big at the box office (which it sure as hell will). And after he's done with Batman, I'm pretty sure he will make at least one Bond film somewhere down the road, considering how he has repeatedly expressed his desire to do so and I'm sure the Bond producers will be more than eager to give him a go at it. So there's another huge potential moneymaker for Nolan's resume.

The Bond producers prefer puppet directors. Nolan is anything but a puppet director. He will make the movie his way, not their way. They don't like that one bit. It's very much a producers' franchise.

You haven't said anything beyond 'that was stupid'. It'd be nice to get an explanation on that since all my point was is that fiction is inherently limitless. To be honest my question was rhetorical because the fact is, no one can argue against plain definition. But if you wanna leave it, that's fine.

I don't really care for a sequel, nor am I holding my breath for one. I merely posed the notion that the opportunity is always there should Nolan consider that path.
