Transformers Was the comedy to much at times?

G1 was pretty goofy. I watched some episodes not long before I saw the movie and dang...I can't believe I thought that series used to be good TV....it was soooo corny.

You think that was bad. You should watch what else was around at the time. To me the definitive Transformers is the original pilot miniseries. I feel the same way about G.I.Joe (which had two awesome miniseries).... which became even goofier than Transformers once it became a full series. Series suck. V The Series sucked too.

This is kind of a tough one, because the anwer would be an overwhelming YES. It was so overblown and some comedic scenes were too drawn out, I found myself waiting for them to end. But then you realize the writers, producers, and director had no intention of taking this too seriously. Once you can make that assertion then all the humor makes total sense.

I do still have problems with the 'greatest hacker in the world' being the 'lame focal point' for some of the humor(Seriously folks, he did absolutely nothing to live up to that title). I like Anthony Anderson, but his role really needs to be removed from this film.
