Well that settles this thread
What? That article says it was posted like weeks ago, if that is anything official then why hasnt anyone else reported it? If WB released a "statement" saying that, we would've heard about it then. And I think the lack of a superbowl spot said it all, the marketing HAS changed. Period.
It would be nice to see something new soon, just to put the whole issue behind us.
Dude, there was no indication what so ever that there was going to be a Superbowl spot anyways. It was just speculation. Not one thing hinted towards it except that BB did it. Does not mean they all do it. So no that is not proof at all.
That and the article in EW said that he was 100% done with TDK, and his family wants them to continue forth. Now that the death is almost a month away, people will not be as sensitive.
It wasn't that TDK didn't have a spot, it's that WB didn't have a single spot during the SB when they originally planned at least one. A company doesn't just pass up an opportunity for that kind of marketing on a whim.
More confirmation that the marketing efforts for the Dark Knight will continue as planned, reported in BrandWeek:Promotional partners are standing by their programs and reportedly wont need to scrap any related marketing materials. The reason: they did not focus on the ghoulish Joker character, instead preferring to center their campaigns on the hero, Batman.
Thats been the norm for brand/movie tie-ins for years, with corporate partners choosing not to align too closely with the bad guys.
Look it up mods, It's been confirmed that WB will not change it's marketing plan.
