It's kind of cool how, aside from the hair color and texture, Chiang's WW and Hippolyta look virtually identical. Then again, considering that facial shapes in comic books tend to be drawn rather generically, this isn't surprising.

Some of you may recall that, in the original WW series, Lynda Carter dons a blonde wig to disguise herself so that she can participate in a contest she is forbidden to enter by Hippolyta's decree. She was pretty convincing as a natural blonde.

If Carter was younger and her features a bit more similar to Gal's, I think she'd make for an interesting 2016 Hippolyta.

I can't say I've ever thought much of anything she was in before she became a superstar, and forget it AFTER she started to be able to demand tens of millions for roles. That's when she really just phoned it in. The kicker is she was still being offered these huge paydays and roles even after most of those starring vehicles bombed or underperformed. I really would hate to see her in BvS or JL or any WW project.

Charlize Theron. I like a blonde Hippolyta and I also want the Amazons to be eternally young as long as they stay on enchanted island. IMO, Diana's mother in the DCM shouldn't look old enough to actually be her mom.

No matter who plays Hippolyta...if they're not Israeli, they'll have to learn that accent. In fact, all the Amazons will have to speak in Gal's accent. It wouldn't make sense if they all they had these different accents. Btw, when an actor successfully pulls of an accent, to me it's amazing. They have to both concentrate on using an accent and emoting properly, etc. A little more difficult than walking and chewing bubble gum at the same time. I couldn't do it, which is why I guess I'm not starring in these movies. lol

Not sure if it's been said already (and I know it's pointless and impossible), but having watched Man of Steel again 2 days ago, I think the actress who played Lara (Ayelet Zurer) would have made an awesome Hippolyta. I thought she was fantastic in her scenes.

I don't know if I have the creditability to comment on another man's looks (lol) but him and bar rafeli are other Israeli actors I know. And was in the mummy, dues Bigelow, and was the voice of Dr.fate in justice league Unlimited.
