But I agree she'd be better for Hera.

But with that, there's the recognition of the Elf's being Otherworldly. Pace was caked up in makeup and prosthetics, sure he didn't look all that old, but you can buy him being Legolas' father.

For Rosamund to not go through that similar transition and not be a creature like an Elf, where the fantasy of the character shadows everything else, it makes it all the more harder to swallow.

in a movie with superpowered people flying and throwing heavy **** around, it's the age issue between two actresses that's going to make everyone go, "you know what? this is ********. i can buy this guy carrying around an 18 wheeler like a tonka truck, but I draw the line at a woman who looks to be in her mid thirties playing the mother of a woman who looks to be in her mid twenties. what are they supposed to be? immortal?"

Pike as WonderGal's mother is a hell no for me, I'd prefer if her talents were used for a far more important role if she is even interested in doing a comicbook movie. And I don't care if that role is in DC land either. Maybe that's blasphemous to say on here but I said it any way because that's how I roll.

not everyone is endowed with a great imagination, but i think most would agree that gal calling pike "mommy" would be awful writing..

I don't want to see Pike, whom just had her true breakout role in Gone Girl, play Wonder Woman's mother. I don't think it's the right move for her to make career wise and I don't want to see her in the role. If that's what you want to see awesome but I don't.

I'm baffled as to why anyone would think that WW mom is the best role Pike can muster in a comicbook film. That reminds me of Rebbeca Hall being utterly wasted in Iron Man 3.
