People can use that "they are immortal" stuff all they want, having someone as young as Pike play Gadot's mother would be difficult for the audience to process. Give that role to an older actress and call it a day.

If anything Pike should be playing a Wonder Woman villain or ally or another DC character in another DC film.

Yeah, they can't get TOO close in age Diana's mother. Gal herself is actually not some 22 year old starlet, despite her generally very youthful look, so this can get tricky but yeah, I think some actresses are a little too "young" looking, or... I don't know... I guess we have to buy that Hippolyta is an authority figure for Diana so having that actress look about the same age, "immortal" or not, maybe doesn't work.

But as always... This isn't the comics. You can't just cast another woman in her late twenties for this part to my mind.I think you need to have her obviously look no where near as old as a real life 28 year old woman's mother would look. But... She can't ALSO look 28 herself. Immortal doesn't have to mean always looking 21. I think you can and should cast older than Gal or at least appearance wise, but you can't cast looks wise someone that looks to be the same age or in that ball park. And in the comics, while again, Hippolyta is not drawn as some middle aged woman in her 50's-60's , it's quite clear from many artists that she's presented as "older" looking than Diana.

I err on the side of having accents AND a distinct language for the Amazons. This was something that was missing in MOS. There should have been a Kryptonian language we heard spoken at some point.
