They're not changing his name, he's already got a t-shirt: http://shop.wwe.com/Samoa-Joe-"Subm...html?dwvar_W09731_color=black&start=1&q=samoa
Samoa Joe was one of those guys who I always felt the WWE wouldn't be interested in, not that he wasn't good, but he just didn't "fit in" with what the WWE generally looks for in a worker.
With WWE clearly invested now in Joe to some extent at least, does anyone here think AJ Styles could ever get an offer from New York?
Styles said he was fine being in the indies and Japan. And he is making good money as a indy wrestler with a good work schedule. Why go to the WWE and take a big risk.
So how long before we hear this back in the WWE:

Joe's too well established thanks to TNA to change his name at this stage. Most others they can change due to coming directly from the indies and having little to no national coverage. But TNA, as much as some would like to ignore, were in the national spotlight and Joe is a recognized face.Well in that case it could be a CM Punk situation.

– Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are said to be big proponents of changing the way women in WWE are featured. Apparently this is very much based on Stephanie’s influence and the success UFC has had with Ronda Rousey.
It’s said that the two aren’t UFC fans but are fans of Rousey and her recent Sports Illustrated cover was another sign to them that times have changed and it’s a different era. At the same time, it was said to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Vince McMahon still sees women in the role that they’re currently in on WWE’s main roster.
Vince needs to go.... One way or another.
The WWE has such a ridiculous amount of depth on the women's side of the roster it's unreal.
I said it a long time ago but if they combined the gals from the main roster with the gals from the NXT side then put together an hour long weekly show on the network a la what GLOW was back in the day, they could absolutely pull it off.![]()
