World Web shooter shop class - Part 1

Man... I can't believe it. There is a store that I have driven by constantly for years that has EVERYTHING that a web shooter can be made of.

It has air compressors, pumps, refillable pressure vessels, valves (intake, button, safety, lever, ball, trigger), fittings, tubing, premade nozzles, air intake valves, Nylon straps, duct tape, teflon tape, electric tape, pressure gauges, and even couplers that can rotate 180 degrees.

(ok, so the only things they were missing were solenoid valves and polymorph.)

Next paycheck, I'm making the maximus. It has everything that home depot doesn't. I've been waiting for weeks for air intake valves that equate to about 15$ and I found the exact same valves for 4$. If only I knew about this sooner, the web shooter would be done by now.

I can make the web shooter quicker and cheaper. I'm so happy and angry right now.

Minimus 2.1 Is finished. It works much better than my previous designs, though grabbing the web line will be a tad harder until I replace the polymorph with steel in the trigger.

Also, I need to find a better way to refuel. I have teflon tape, and that is good once I secure the valves together, but until that point, it's a hassle. I'll let you know how this goes. I guess I have to progress to maximus now.

What is the name of the store?

There's one of those right down the street from me... Literally five minutes away. What luck I have :D

Last night in bed, an image popped into my head. How about a wrist dart with reinforced fishing line attached to it? I dunno if there is a perfected formula yet, so I just thought this might help.

If you're not going to have anything special like a double tap or timed tap, you don't need a microcontroller. But, if you are going to use one, do you know the necessary components to have it work? Do you know how to program? If not, I know some excellent resources for you.

Also, I have begun constructing the basic case for my WDM model.

Yeh I don't know how to program it so, do you think you could help me with it please and could exsplaun the double tap?

Northern tool? Dude... you wouldnt happen to be in the Charlotte/ Concord area would you??? There's a northern tool a few miles from my house! Gonna check their website to see if they have the materials i need for the shooter i'm building. What is this maximus shooter you're talking about? And the minimus 2.1???

Can someone help me with a small spinning chamber like the one from that spiderman diagram of the web shooter that you see in the animated show I would put a picture up but I'm using an iPhone

Yeah, right next to northlake. Want to meet up sometime? We can work on our shooters together. Next Saturday, I'm thinking about making and finishing almost all of the shooter, (with the exception of my super spinneret that guarantees fibers) with the items in the store.

I found a super small electronic spinner I'm gonna use for my shooter. I found out that there are a kind of spiderman web bladders that have a electronic spinner. I'm gonna put it in my shooter.

Yeah that sounds good.

How small are you looking?

Any size that's smaller than an Axe spray can.

So far, I've got a motor, batteries for the motor, a trigger (although a bit primitive), styrofoam and acetone, wires, pumps, screws, nuts, bolts and some bits and pieces of metal I found in the attic. Other than the canisters and the solenoid valve, is there anything else I need to get?

What I did to make a fixed cartridge is:

went into target, near the travel hygiene section and found a small can of sanitizer with an aerosol valve. From there, I released the contents.

After that, you just need to screw in a 1/8" schrader valve and reinforce the thing and you can pressurize it. There's another way to do it with coke bottles which is easier, but it won't give you the size that you need.

Ok, so I'm near finished with my spinneret design. Except for one small detail. I want to drill the holes at a slight angle, so the fluid will come out at an angle. This should increase the surface area when the fluid hits its target.

So the question is, what angle should the holes be at? The face of the spinneret is a straight horizontal line. The web fluid shooting out would make another diagonal line. When these two lines meet, that's the angle.

I was thinking somewhere between 91-95 degrees. Just a slight angle. What do you guys think?
