perhaps a small electric motor with a spool attached to the rotating part?

But it needs to be refilled in the cartridge. A spool and a rotating part wouldn't work. Plus, I still have to work on the PVG from becoming too hard after release. It feels like bending a twizzler.

this is the web fluid he bought.
http://biothread.webstarts.com/_.html

$900 and sold out, plus the paypal button is an image. its on a free hosting website. plus the box was sealed with duct tape, which isn't illegal, but shipping places like clear tape. AND you know what was used to protect the vile from shipping? walmart bags. That NEVER happens. All of this leads me to believe its a scam
Yeah, and even if it is real, $900 FOR THAT TINY BOTTLE! IN ALL THAT PACKAGING! For that much money and that much room in the box, it should be atleast 25 small bottles, or 18 medium sized bottles of that stuff! But anyway, who knew that bio-cable stuff from oscorp was real!?

The guy who bought that stuff in the video is obviously not one of the smarter people we've met...

Yeah, as a matter of fact, it should be 10 bucks a bottle, so it should be 900 bucks for 90 bottles.

I'm not sure I understand. did the vacuum suck the web back from a hole in the cartridge? hmm... the only ways I can think of to retract the web are to maybe use a more powerful suction source (or make the openning smaller) or use a rotating force to pull the web in. Maybe a reel like on a fishing rod? you just spin it by hand and the web retracts?

as for the twizzler consistency, that sounds like the PERFECT flexibility that I'm looking for in my web:woot:. whats the strength of the web and whats the strength of the adhesiveness? in otherwords, when pulling a heavy object, does the line snap first or does the end of it "unstick" from the object?

To spider-phantom: can I call you spidey? Anyway, if it's a retractable web, does that mean your not using a webbing formula and it's more of a wrist mounted grappling hook that has a sticky end?

Does anyone know where I can purchase or how I can make a puncture needle/hollow needle valve?

Of COURSE!!!!!! nolder my friend you are a genius. You just gave me the perfect, snap back, retraction idea I was looking for. I can't explain it right now because I'd have to show you the web-shooter and I'm trying to keep that concealed, but let's just say your REALLY smart!!!!!!!!!
As for the webbing. No it sticks just fine and it doesn't break, it's just that, when I try to move around with the object "webbed" it becomes difficult. Kindof like your trying to bend a giant twizzler. Anything you know that can smoothen it out? I can express ship any materials so it will be here by noon in my time zone. Plane leaves at 2:00.

Call me Phantom. Ask questions because so far, I'm the one with the most progress. It's so close to done. Now that nolder gave me that idea. (Thanks again nolder!!!!!!!!!!!) I'm not sure if you remember but one of Spider-Man's greatest advantages was retracting his web, especially when something is falling. Off a building perhaps? So yes. Not only mine, but you can call Spider-Man's web-shooters a retractable rapping hook with a sticky end too.

Haha. No nolder, the vacuum sucked the web back into the cartridge through the valve. I think you misread my predicament. How, would a retracting reel and/or wire, going to bring the web back into the cartridge so I can once again, shoot the web out. And also, where would it go?

Yeah, as a matter of fact, it should be 10 bucks a bottle, so it should be 900 bucks for 90 bottles.

Woah, woah there MarvelFan. Biothread's are actually pretty expensive and Biothread's are difficult to make!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks phantom. How about 50 buck for a medium sized bottle, but that's as high as I'm willing to go.

you guys know that biothread thing is a scam right?

BTW: This is the average dry spinning apparatus:

All we need in this is the heating jacket, a spinneret, and a place where the fibers converge.

Ok. I am officially leaving for the airport. It's been fun. But I've. Packed away my web shooter for now. Good-bye one and all. This is the real-deal.'see you soon, I guess. And WW, when I come back, I want to see ALOT of progress. To nolder, it's a shame you weren't online today at this time. I would've liked to discuss with you more. To spidey, keep up the good research. I will miss you all for the time being because you people are probably the only people in the world actually trying to create a web shooter. To MarvelFan, : D!!!!!!!!!!! I'll see you all
After then. Perhaps at that time. A web shooter will be complete and we will all be our own Spider-Men in New York or London or something. : )!!!!!!!!! I wish you all luck and a farewell from me. Goodbye everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a good one spider phantom. I won't be here when you come back. I'm going on a two year hiatus, where I will be unable to use a computer, but after that, I look forward to seeing all of the progress that's been made by everyone.

Spider-Phantom's going/gone too... -.-!!! Anyway, I was thinking pressuizing the web fluid once it's done and send it to an airtight seal. the trigger will open the nozzle wider which will cause the pressurized fluid to shoot out and releasing the trigger will close the nozzle!!!!!!!! Does that found interesting WW?! Any flaws?!?!?!

Didn't you get that from the Spider-Man Wiki Web Shooter page?
