See what I did there with the title? I am sooooo clever. :o

So, with the upcoming "Relaunch" there's been lots of talk here and there about how this shoulda been a full on Reboot. So, because I'm bored and have nothing better to do, I'm putting forth the question.

What would you do? Pick a character, and Reboot em.

Understand that I am not responsible for others making fun of your ideas if they suck. That's on you. Get a better Idea.

WildStorm Productions
To show off WildStorm properly integrated into the DCU, instead of solo titles starring Voodoo and Grifter, I would have launched the WildStorm properties with these books:

1. WildC.A.T.S. by Ron Marz and Brett Booth
2. Gen13 by Gail Simone and Rick Mays
3. Stormwatch by Paul Cornell

Milestone Media
Static would not be moving to New York City, but instead remain in Dakota City.

Also, I would launch a Shadow Cabinet series to showcase the other Milestone characters like Hardware and Icon within the DC Universe.

- The Question would also get a book starring Vic Sage not that pretender that we have now :o

- Tempest, Dolphin, Ceridian, Arthur Jr, Vulko, and Koryak would come back to life and have super awesome fun time adventures with Aquaman, Jackson, Lorena and Mera in Aquaman's awesome Winnebago!

Jack Knight, Superstar

Written by James Robinson and art by either Tony Harris or Snejberg.
Detailing the life and times if a Legacy hero who has chosen to leave the legacy behind and focus on the finer things in life.

Martian Manhunter

Bring him back to being a detective, give the series a sort of X-Files vibe, while also balancing his superhero life with the police side, kind of like the original comics, but without the "haha Diane, you wacky dame!" crap.

I wonder why DC never thought of doing that with their recent takes on the character.

Because everyone at DC was too obsessed with the shockingly original idea of making J'onn... NOT the last Martian! Over. And over. And over.

Anyway, I'd reboot Wildcats. Slap Joe Casey back on it, if he'll accept the job, and get a solid, slightly gritty, indie up-and-comer on art. Halo, Inc. has been one of the major corporate juggernauts in the DC universe forever, right alongside Lexcorp and Wayne Enterprises, under the charge of Jack Marlowe. What the public doesn't know is that alongside their unlimited energy batteries and other super-advanced tech, Halo doubles as the home base for the Wildcats, a covert superteam specializing in corporate espionage but with a deeper purpose: to eradicate a secret alien invasion that's been going on under the world's nose for millennia.

So yeah, it's not so much a reboot as a request to just get the goddamn Wildcats circa Wildcats v3.0 into the DC universe like they've been there all along. But, in my defense, Wildcats v3.0 was really, really good. :o

Green Arrow
I'd take the characters back to their earlier years. Green Arrow and Speedy (Roy at about 16-17 years old) are adventurous crime-fighters who defend Star City. Oliver Queen is a billionaire who sold his company and spends his days doing a lot of volunteer work for the local community. Moonday Hawke is Ollie's ex-girlfriend who recently moved to Star City and tries to get Ollie to spend more time with his son Connor (only about 13-14). Dinah Lance runs Drake's Floral in Star City while moonlighting as the Black Canary-- Ollie and Dinah start off unaware of one another's secret identities and are only acquainted in their costumed personas.

Would Roy still be a cat taffying drug addicted fiend

This makes me :)

Cats should not be used as clubs by drug addicted impotent archers

Planetary: It would exist again.

Yeah, imagine all the stuff folks of Planetary could get up to in the DCU. I wanna see the Shade and Elijah Snow get f**ked on some Absinthe and shoot the s**t.

Wildstorm everything: Launch them back into their own universe where God and human decency want them to be.

And get Gail Simone to write Gen 13 again too

I would read that

Who would not want to see that

Superman: Announce that we're doing ACTION COMICS NUMBER ONE. And then: literally reprint Action Comics #1.

Maybe we have someone redo the art. Like uh... liefeld. Action Comics #1 but redrawn by Rob Liefeld.

In WIDESCREEN, baby!

Aquaman

The book would retitled Aquaman and the Currys and the main focus of the book would see Aquaman juggling saving the world, family life, and ruling his kingdom. At times he would team up with his good friend the Atom (Ryan Choi) where they get into all sorts of outrageous adventures. From crazy get rich quick schemes to saving the world from Aquaman's annoying neighbor Black Manta and his jealous brother Ocean Master. Down the line Aquaman will be visited by a space imp, Quisp, that only he can see.

Batman

Now one element that loved about the Batman line, and pretty much everybody else, was the teaming of Dick and Damian. Now with the reboot they're breaking them and up and we are losing that great dynamic for two serious, grim people. There is a simple solution to this- Adam Westized Batman. Now you'll have ultra serious Robin and a happy go lucky Batman again. Instead of street crime Batman goes back to fighting giant robots, alien invaders, and mad scientists.

Superman

Now I got two ideas for Superman. First is Smallville: The Early Years. Here we witness Superman first act of heroism. Lionel Luthor is trying to close down the Smallville Rec Center. Clark and the Gang (Pete Ross, Lana Lang, and puppy Krypto) must compete in a series of events to try to save the rec center. Competing against them is Lionel's son Lex and his posse (John Corben, Rudy Jones, and Otis). Of course in the end Lex loses his hair, Corben is a robot, Rudy is a monster, and Otis is erased from continuity. All done in a very Archie style artwork.

Morrison is taking a Bruce Springsteen/Woody Guthrie so I thought of a different route. Escaping from a doomed world Superman comes to our world to make it all Hunky Dory. A glam rock space messiah fights the forces of evil and conformity- Lex Luthor, Intergang, and the Tyrant God Darkseid. It's Bowie meets Jack Kirby a combination that would make your brain bleed.

Superman and the Spiders from Mars

That was a surprisingly well put together statement for a bot.
