i dunno, drz's kinda got a death grip on it man. though a better title for him may be village grenade jumper...since he reads all the super-crappy titles so the rest of us don't have to.

Neither of them sound appealing to me. If anything, I might be tempted to flip through Earth One: Batman for the sheer novelty of it, but I doubt I'd ever spend money on either of these.

i'll probably buy batman just because i love different year one takes on batman, but i doubt i'll like it much.

maybe, but in my mind you read every book i think will suck. that characterature makes it easier to stereotype you.

AND I DO NOT READ THE ULTIMATE BOOK! i read ultimates 1,2, and 3
ultimate avengers 1 because it was miller doing the red skull which got me excited but was a gigantic let down, ult avengers 2 because i wanted so much for it to not suck but again was let down
and ult fantastic four because it was a typically decent book with an easy introduction to the characters. i am DONE with ultimate anything

if it were happening in batman then yes, but this is a separate thing, like batman and robin. i don't like batman and robin, so i don't buy batman and robin. this is a separate thing so it boggles me

Well the "bad comic books" stereotype really comes from Corp, Fiend and Anubis when theyr ealized how much of a Mark Millar fanboy i am. Oh and me loving Ultimate Captain America. =p

Anyhow i really hope these books sell well and when eventually we can get Earth Ones for Green Lantern and Wonder Woman, JMS and Johns will NOT write them. I like the idea of Johns taggling on Bats, but i wanna see some new fresh blood on a retake on Green Lantern.

Personally, if they do a Green Lantern: Earth One, an interesting direction they could take it is to give Hal a personality that doesn't resemble a styrofoam cup.

It'd be quite the novelty.

He's the preferred version at DC, which means he's going to get priority for everything now. Dick's had a spot on 3 cartoons as Robin now, but they're still making him Robin yet again for Young Justice. Same applies to Hal.

Do you not like different characters? I mean sure these main characters are gonna sell but I wouldnt mind another one getting the spotlight, there are 4 GL's to chose from on earth alone.
