joker doesn't meet the critera for legally insane. he knows what he's doing is wrong.

Arguable. Some depictions of his character portray him as severely detached from reality, recognizing that the things he does are wrong in theoretical terms, but living in a personal fantasy world, not making the connection that any of it is real and has real consequences. Example:

In any event, wether or not his insanity is portrayed accurately on a regular basis is somewhat irrelevant (although I do think his mental illness should be handled more consistently). The fact is that, within the context of the DCU, he is recognized as having a real mental illness that is the cause of his criminal behavior, and as a result is declared legally insane.

Am I the only one who's glad Kal-El is last Kryptonian in this.
No your not although I do think there should be some exceptions for example the people in the Phantom Zone like Zod and his crew should be Kryptonian. However with Supergirl I think if they get to her should do it like how Bruce Timm did.

Darkseid's physical form was already killed by Batman and the Flashes. Superman killed what was left of Darkseid using the Miracle Machine and the Song of the Multiverse.

Superman then killed Mandrak by driving a giant stake construct created by the Green Lanterns through Mandrak's heart.
Well, that kind of sucks. :csad:

If it makes you feel better, since The Great Darkness Saga has been restored to DC continuity, Darkseid will come back........some day. So it's not like Superman killed him permanently.

But since the physical body was actually Dan Turpin's, does that mean that Batman and the Flashes killed Dan Turpin? Or was he already dead with Darkseid taking over his body?

Who cares, really? I just have a viscerally unpleasant reaction to the idea of Superman killing again. The Phantom Zone criminals were okay to give Supes a taste so he could have the necessary guilt to say he'd never do it again.

But, really, Final Crisis ain't anything new. Superman killed Doomsday, like I mentioned. Doesn't really matter that he came back.

Depends. If we we're old farts during the 1960s and we heard "Superman for the Beatles generation" would we wish to read it even less? Think about it that way.

Thats not what the old farts during 60s thought, just like we don't like Twilight at all. :p

Plenty of old farts liked the Beatles, I'm sure. Just like half of the Twilight fanbase is actually middle-aged women.

People who thought the Beatles are bad were incorrect, just as people who think Twilight isn't bad are incorrect.

If they had called this Superman for the Lady Gaga generation I'd be all over that ****.

Ah yeah Twi-moms. :) I appreciate those people since they donate cash to charities compared to say.... Batman fans? :p

He wears hoodies, has smoldering eyes and, as a lanky Clark Kent, wears low-cut pants and hipster skinny ties. Artist Shane Davis also made him less physically imposing -- shorter and less beefy -- than he has traditionally been depicted.

Yay, it's Tom Wellingman.

"We wanted to tell a story that's hip, sexy and moody," said DC Comics' co-publisher Dan DiDio.
"We wanted to show a younger Superman at the early stages of his career, struggling with his identity and his place. He realizes he doesn't belong anywhere and doesn't fit in."

Yup, a totally boring collection of cliches bereft of any of the things which are interesting about Superman.

First Dante. Now Superman. What the **** is going on!? :cmad:

Nah, Turpin's still alive. We actually see him in FC#7, if I recall correctly. That was actually the reason Batman used the Radion bullet, to kill Darkseid without killing Turpin.

******, self-indulgent creators making ******, self-indulgent creative decisions.

I dont think this is self indulgent at all. I think its a lame attempt to pander to the current generation of twilight/harry potter fans.
