Superman: The Manga.

Tell me I'm wrong.

You're wrong, because we all know if there was a Superman: The Manga, it would totally end up close to Batman's mangaziation years back based on the Adam West Batman combined with Lord Death Man.

This is stupid. Because he's young in 2010 he's for the Twilight generation?
no, because he will have sad eyes, glitery skin, and wear hoddies and jackets at the same time he's for the twilight generation. :oldrazz:

The hoodie looks cool to me. Clark being a little darker/depressed is nothing new. Clark should be pretty flippin sexy anyways :oldrazz:

I never want to see the words "Superman" and "Twilight" in the same sentence again.

Well, you'll be disappointing when Superman teams with Twilight's main vampire guy in the crossover of the century

That would be worse than the Punisher and Eminem sharing a comic.

pretty sure that's how they're going to end smallville. i mean they kinda did it for all of last season

I dont think this is self indulgent at all. I think its a lame attempt to pander to the current generation of twilight/harry potter fans.

You're probably right on Superman. There's no way that new Dante is anything other than self-indulgent ****.

Depends. If we we're old farts during the 1960s and we heard "Superman for the Beatles generation" would we wish to read it even less? Think about it that way.

1. superman for the beatles generation would be awesome.

2. dont draw parallels between the beatles and twilight. i...will....hurt....you.

That article made me not want to read this even more.

me too. dark brooding clark? hip and sexy superman? Eff that!

I've actually been moderately interested in reading this, but damn if the compairisons to Twilight dont just make me die a little inside... :csad:

I actually got to talk to Shane Davis after the DC comics panel at Comic Con. Cool guy, very nice, and since he actually took the time to have a conversation with me I thought I'd buy the graphic novel... then it was called Superman for the Twilight Generation and I threw up a little in my mouth.

Sorry Shane.

I can't wait for "Batman: Earth One" promotion... We get Team Batman and Team Superman all over again! :awesome:

That article makes this sound...as lame as it seems to be.

They did that already!!

Yea, Twilight moreso than Harry Potter because HP is actually good.

I'm sorry but I like this new take on Superman it is something different and I like that. I like how they redid the way the Kents found Superman. Although it seems a little more like Hyperion's origin. But it is good and a more modern take. I like the fact that the government came looking for him and if not for the Kent's finding him first they would have found him.

So, have you read it? I didn't think it came out until tomorrow

Clark's parents get younger in each new version of the origin. In another couple years, they'll have Clark's ship crash into the jungle gym on a middle school and Martha and Jonathan'll be like, "No way! We're totally gonna have to miss fifth period for this!"

Yea, that's....well, it's JMS so it's what I would expect.

Wake me up when instead of doing the 30 millionth cover version of the origin they actually take Superman forward in an interesting way. Best origin in years was in All-Star Superman.

I read A-SS (:oldrazz::awesome:) and thought it had a pretty great story. One thing I really disliked about it was the art. I just couldn't stand looking at it. But the story kept me reading. (I've actually only read V1, have yet to get V2.)

This looks like the Superman graphic novel I've been waiting to read. I'm really liking the changes I've seen/heard and making it more modern. :woot: I will agree the last exchange on that preview was pretty poor, though.
