... and I blame moral decay.

Okay, not really, but it is getting annoying. I'm seeing people shave down short, two-word phrases into acronyms that take me a ****ing minute and a half to figure out, when if they had actually just spelled out the words, I would already be done. Come on, people. Be your best selves. :o

Yeah. It's getting ridic.

:awesome:

Someone shoot me.

That's an abbreviation, which I'm relatively okay with.

Any exs.?

Edit: Another abbreviation:oldrazz:

You need to just GWTF, Sawyer. Let's not make MOOMH here.

IKR? It's so SAI. IWPWS.

:oldrazz:

But, seriously, it always irks me when I see those kinds of abbreviations.

Stop speaking this language I don't understand! :argh:

NMYSGHLU.

Never man, you should get hip like us.

THREAD OF THE YEAR!!!!

Though every once in a while I just stop midpost and think "there is no way I'm typing out The Dark Knight Rises".

There are exceptions.

TDKR is acceptable. TA for The Avengers... less so. Just put Avengers. You don't even have to do the "The". But TA? ****ing shame on you. :o

But why would I spend the extra second writing out Transformers when I could just write Trnsfrmrs?

I've never agreed with an OP as much as I agree with this one.

Shaking My Head

What does it mean? What DOES it mean?! :cmad:

Why would anyone type Iron Man when you can type IM? But let's take it a step further:

Why call it Thor? Let's call it T.

Or Terminator. Let's call it T.

And Transformers can be T.

I don't have much problem with IM for Iron Man either. If you put down IM3, I think I have a pretty good idea what you're referring to...

It has really irritated me when I've seen acronyms for movies and I have no idea. Typing isn't hard.

I'm not that into the forum, and at the beggining, it was really hard to follow a discussion.

Too many letters. :o

Well, in threads were Bond fans discuss their favourite films, it can be pretty hard occassionally when trying to remember what TWINE, TMWTGG or OHMSS mean..
