The Dark Knight Wha does everyone think of Bale's Batman voice?

I love it when the Joker says "Look at you go!" in the interrogation room.

I was quite happy with the voice, he sounded nothing like bruce wayne, which made me believe there was no connection between the two.
i'd rather know it was a fake voice, than bruce waynes. Like even when Michael Keaton talked as batman I still heard Michael Keaton (bruce wayne) talking.

When bale does the gruff voice, if you were to put them having a conversation with each other, i would never know.

Sometimes it worked (when he is angry), and sometimes it really doesn't work (talking to Fox in the computer lab).

Are you kidding me? He sounded awesome in that scene!

"Beautiful, isn't it?"
"When you're finished, type in your name"

I just love the way Bale plays it like Bruce is ignoring the fact that Fox knows he's Batman. He sounds so...cold, distant and uncompromising, it's almost as if he has become something else entirely after he puts on the cape and the cowl, and his demeanor shows that he wants Fox to realize that as well. It's one of the many *totally Batman* moments in the film.

Yeah have to agree i thought Bale#s voice was perfect and great....people need to get there ear's tested if they had probelms understanding Bale.
lol i mean the voice just makes sense, scary and believable

"Wait a minute. That's not his real voice. It's like he's doing some lameass Clint Eastwood impersonation." -Dick Grayson (Robin), All Star Batman & Robin #2

"I hope you don't mind my saying so, sir, but that growl in your voice...you're doing it all the time, sir." -Alfred, Batman #655

That scene right there showed me that Bats is sane, but he's still a little out there.

I find it a real shame a lot of casual viewers/the media are exaggerating how 'bad' the growl is. It overlooks the fact that Bale gave a great performance.

I don't know what the fuss is about Batman's voice in The Dark Knight. Even Yahoo had a news article about it on their homepage this past week. I had no issues with it at all.

Send me the link to the Yahoo news article.

"Batman Growl" is going to become a new internet meme.

I thought his voice was an improvement over the Bat voice in Begins actually.

I didn't mind any extended monologues in TDK, but in BB, the exposition at Arkham and the "Do you drive stick" speech are the two most cringe-inducing parts of Bale's voice in that movie.

Seriously. It's as if they trying not let people enjoy it in full...:csad::brucebat:

Yeah that's why in scenes with Harvey and Gordon it needed to be strong.

I don't get why this keeps getting brought up. That's not the point of the criticism behind Bale's voice.
