Is all sexual content impermissable on these forums?

I just made a thread concerning the morality of *********ion on a non-superhero forum (hype community) yet it got deleted. Have the rules got more strict over the past year? I was inactive for a while and it seems there used to be more risque subjects allowed?

Why not simply lock it if the thread goes on too long or starts to get too many inappropriate comments?

the thread dissolved into discussions on who was going to do what to whom. Once again the morons spoiled it for you all

Here's the thing you'll eventually learn here. They can't tell you what can, and can't be posted outside of the obvious porn. Because it varies from mod to mod. There is no set guidelines to what is permissible. It pretty much depends on the mod on that day, and what their mood is.

Could the MODS get in a good mood so we can post the leaked TDK pics :D

and who also starts the thread.

Oh yeah. Muscleforsupes automatically gets his thread deleted about the wonders of Cinnamon Toast Crunch because it's pointless. While Dew gets to start a pointless thread about a picture of a giant bug. YAY!

Oh well, I'm starting to get used to this now. In a place called Superherohype, guess it's hard to have discussions on certain subjects.:whatever:

muscles was warned, repeatly to add his food thread to the one we left alone and he never does it. He makes a new food thread again and again, so we closed them.

Where does it say in the rules or user agreement that I can't create 25 food threads?

when you make 25 seperate food threads in under a week or 2 that's spamming.
Alot of muscles threads were just that, spam. He also had a annoying habit of posting them in other parts of the board

Spam is subjective. While I concede that Muscle was very proficient in his thread making, creating a lot of something is not the only form of spam. Since I brought it up, a thread created for the sole purpose of freaking out over a picture of a giant bug is spam in my book. And it's funny when you mention spam yet allow for the Lounge to be open which is pretty much "Let me up my post count!"

the lounge is for people to talk and shoot the breeze, yes some use it to jack up their post count and busted a few going way overboard doing it too.

Bug thread isn't a spam thread, and I wouldn't had busted or closed it if someone else had made it.

Two thirds of the crap in the community can be considered spam.

*sighs*just makes me tired....

Feelings make the world go round.

I mean, will you attempt to tell us what specifically can't and can be posted?

Id be lying to say i could down to the fine details, i mean any porn stuff is a no no, as are basic naked asses and boobs as far as pics ago, nipples are also a no go but not punished as harshly.

As far as sexual topics and verbage, I'd say it depends on the context, for instance a post in a topic discussing sex in a mature fashion where a guy posted "I enjoy oral sex with my girlfriend" wouldn't be a problem but if someone then posted "your girlfriend is a *****ucker" i'd have to look at it again in context, it would be deleted due to language use but not punished if it was a joke between two posters who are friends, if it was just a rude attack at the guy i'd issue an infraction.....So i guess i am saying that a lot of the decisions beyond the very obvious are contextual and you weren't wrong before when you say down to the mod that is involved.

For instance a situation involving a poster simply attacking another poster with flames is a situation where I'd issue an infraction, if however it was 2 posters fighting I'd just make a post warning both to drop it and not to continue beyond my post or then there'd be an actual punishment...other mods may well just drop a couple of days probation on both....sorry if that's all a bit vague, a lot of gray area exists IMO.

true.. you can make a forum but when you get lots of idiots in there.
it ruins it:csad:

From now on, all posts which do not refer to David Bowie's album "Let's Dance" will be deleted.

I would think some is allowed, but common sence has it that anything too racy can't be posted.
