Still, the tips are good, right? I know I thought about bartending, but I just don't like dealing with the people. It's why I work in the kitchen in the back of the house.
Customers suck ass. :o

The last club I went to was Suite 181 in San Francisco and the last bar was connected to a bowling ally. I don't know if it has a name.

Chicago area, usually Dave and Buster's or this jazz club called Close Up 2. Don't drink myself so ain't really going for the liquor selection, but they're decent places to chill on a weekend or weeknight. And that bowling alley/bar franchise is called Lucky Strike.

I'm over the whole club scene, but bars are my place. I used to do the Hip Hop/R&B club thing in Philly a few years back but my fellow black people like to fight a little too much lol. And for the stupidest reasons too.

There's a long strip of bars in DC I'm fond of. Maybe Luda or some other person in that area can help me out w/ the name. They have pretty sick Halloween events from what I've heard.

Never really got into the club scene, but my family owns a Irish Pub in a suburb of KC, called Clancy's. That's where you'll find me, when I'm out for a drink. Over 30 different beers on tap and a awesome place to watch sports.

If anyone knows of a club that doesn't play ****ty techno or rap, I would like to know. I hate both genres with a passion and I'd end up stabbing someone if I had to listen to either all night.

That sounds awesome...you've got your own Cheers.

I use to love Poly Ester's in DC, I know it's a chain seen them in Seattle and NYC, but I think they closed the one here down. I would always get tore up, I mean bad. I don't know what it is about that place? I was like Dr. Jekel and Mr. Hyde. http://www.pollyesthers.com/

My last hot spot was Chief Ike's Mambo Room, very diverse, hip hop down stairs and rock upstairs. It got over run with gay men and girls gone wild types. :down *sigh* I really use to groove there and one of the bartenders always took good care of my thirst. :cwink:

I need a new place.

I also go to 9:30 Club and The Birchmere for shows.

For bar I usually sit in eggspectation, it's weak but it's quiet for us seniors.
My cute bartender is gone the way of management so I don't go that often anymore. The girls try to take care of me and they have but it's not the same. :csad:
There's a few other bars I can't go to cause I'm trying to avoid running into some people that frequent them, ****ing sucks.

Shame, I love 'em both :D

I don't go to bars or clubs. If I want to drink, I just buy alcohol and drink it. lol

The bar is more about the atmosphere than the liquor. Nobody'd go for the booze alone b/c it's nowhere near cost-effective lol.
