They stole my Cokes.

I know what an Emu is, they taste like chicken.

 

It's quite easy to be disgusted with groups of people even when you've had no contact at all.

Nazis have never harmed me. (though, I was watching a White Supremacist rally in S.L.C., Utah once and a NEO-Nazi pretended to shoot us all with an "air" machine gun...but, that wasn't the dawn of my disgust for Nazis.)

The KKK has never harmed me.

NO one on American Idol has ever harmed me...except when I went to this chick's house and she made me watch "The Worst of American Idol", but, I hated them all before that.

People who used to watch and order from QVC all day long have never harmed me personally.

People who gab on their cell phone in a theater or a restaurant have not actually done much harm to me.

People who go to Las Vegas and gamble their life's savings away have never harmed me, but I still think they're really gross, foolish, lame, mockable, etc.

People who wear mullets and acid wash jeans with no sense of irony....not harming me....pretty mockable.

Fat Goth girls who pretend to slit their wrists for attention...not harming me....eminently mockable, repugnant....



I could go on.

I kid. Good point there. Sometimes the idea we have of a group -- or anything for that matter -- can be much worse than the reality of it.

 

Message boards are notorious places for airing your grievances. In the real world if you spend your time hating on this and that, and complain at all hours of the day, it gets to people and eventually they tell you to shut the f*** up. On a message board all the little ticks in life are here for you to post, over and over again if necessary.
