What did you think of this version of the Hulk (Personality, look, etc.)?

I think they hit it spot on this time....my major problem with Angs hulkk was he only seemed mildly pissed. Hulk should be the embodyment of boundless rage. This one pulled that off nicely.

Plus the scene where he throws a rock at the lightning was PERFECT. notice how afterwards he gets into a "defend betty" posture.

Hell yeah! While I feel that the cgi is equal to Ang's (people really need to watch Ang's again, it's really inconsistent but when its good its damn good) this Hulk is the one I grew up reading, his mannerisms were spot on, he spoke, he was pissed off, he didn't grow to 15 ft, he wasn't Lou Ferrigno, it was really Hulk......for the first time

Such a great look, mannerisms, his decidedly more pissed off attitude compared to the Ang Lee Hulk. Everything worked. I for one, was certainly not disappointed with this Hulk. Not at all.

I went to the movies to watch both versions of the hulk and I must say "The Incredible Hulk " In my opinion is a much better movie. I think Norton did an exceptional job and Liv Tyler was just okay.

TIH accurately captured the Hulk.

TIH version pretty much embodied all the aspects of my favourite version of the Hulk.

Hear, Hear no complaint really other than he could have been a lil taller, but I'm nit-picking.

Design wise everything was perfect.

The only downsides were (somewhat ironically) the '03 Hulk looked more realistic, less CGI.
That, and I would have preferred Hulk to talk more.

He was alright personality wise. They did the same things back in 2003, except that Hulk was little more rounded out, a little more layered. More of a character, really.

He basically was a composite of Savage/Mindless Hulk, where when he's not fighting, he's just merely annoyed or somewhat calm, whereas as soon as something threatens him, he goes off the chain. This is probably the best incarnation of him, where he's not just going insane causing damage, but has to honestly be provoked. He pretty much just gave Blonsky a staredown until he said, "is that all you've got?" which basically was a verbal muscle flex that he just could not ignore.

Hear, Hear....he could have spoken a lil more, but I think that is what we will get in the Sequel....although....It made Abomination seem alot smarter, because he could talk and seemed in control a bit more. But I like the two different renditions of CGI.....Like someone pointed out earlier in the thread about "Which Hulk is more powerful" the 03 shows a power lifter "strong man" and 08 shows a body builder type. I'm honestly glad we have both films to show two different images of Hulk so that we never have to ask or discuss what one body image would look like over the other.

That was a mistake that stemmed from the fact that they didn't give any indication that Hulk was an expression of Banner's rage... just a chain reaction of him being excited. That's a plot concept that was missing and left a hole in Hulk's character, IMO.
Other than that, he looked and acted in a way I was very satisfied with.

I thought the Hulk was really great in this film. He had sadness in him and anger. I loved it when he kicked that army guy after he said "Is that all you got?" That was pretty cool.

The look on Hulk's face when Abomination got up from under the rubble after the helicopter crash was priceless. That would be my reaction as well, that look of "God, you gotta be kidding me."

I liked this Hulk. Reminded me more of the cartoons that I watched. This Hulk was a nice um...beast or man, (or whatever). He wans't always just angry. He was gentle. He would jsut feel so angry at the Abomination that he would get pissed because he kept hurting people. God...hate that Abomination! F***er!

Hulk seemed to have a little problem fighting Blonsky (before he became the Abomination) because Hulk blocked himself with pieces of the big broken pieces of the army tanks.

Hulk didn't seem only angry in this film which was good because sometimes Bruce turns into the Hulk whenever he gets outraged.

I think that is something we are able to read into it because we know that about the character. 90% of audiences don't and so that wouldn't even dawn on them. Ask your non-comic familiar friends that saw the film.
In fact there wasn't anything in this movie that tied Hulk to being Bruce's inner rage. He just comes out when Bruce becomes too excited. That could be anger, sex, running too fast...

I agree this was Hulk's crowning moment in this movie
