What can RUIN this movie? And what can SAVE this movie?

What will save this movie for me is if the leaked draft is a very early draft and has since been changed.

The origin of the Hulk is one of the most memorable and classic origins in comic history. Everyone say its out dated and wouldn’t work today. I ask WHY? Someone said they’re trying to be politically correct. And suicide is politically correct? I know that we’re, once again, not going to get The Hulk origin in this movie, I just hope they take out the injecting himself with the serum crap.

Banner trying to kill himself is out of character. If this is done correctly it can work and portray the struggle between Banners and the Hulk. .

The Hulk or Abomy not talking is a big mistake.

Someone one dying as a result of the Hulks actions, in defense or not, is wrong. Part of what makes the Hulk the Hulk and not a monster, is that he doesn’t want to hurt anyone or would he kill anyone. Even though he’s not Banner he still is part of Banner and Banner would not kill and would be devastated if someone lost their life as a result of him. People get hurt when trying to capture the Hulk but not killed. The Hulk always said “Leave Hulk alone or Hulk will smash you!” Never did he say “or I’ll Kill you.”

Basically, this movie is over for me. I had High Hopes but not anymore. It’s sad when a long time Hulk fans (30+ years) is more than likely going to wait for the DVD.

I couldnt agree more with this post, i am not going to see the movie at this point either, i dont want to see a Hulk that kills innocents and i dont want to see the terrible re-hash of the origin.

It seems i was right all along, this will be garbage.

I'll let you know what happens, lol.:woot:

I have to laugh when people claim they will not see a movie based solely on leaked scripts. If that was the case, I would avoid all movies at all times.

I think this new film will be just fine. I had no problems with the first HULK outside of it being too much of a downer at times. Sure it strayed greatly from the source material. So did the TV series, but I still loved that. The first film and show had great character development. Mindless action without the development really isolates the audience. People unfamiliar with the source material who do not understand the complexity of the characters will be turned off by the lack of back-story.

Just keep in mind... these films are not made for individuals. It is made to target vast demographics.

Thank you, at least someone else out there realizes the world doesn't revolve around just them. I love the Hulk and will embrace this movie just as I did the last even after being disappointed by it. People have too much time on their hands.

Guess you'll be free of giving opinions after the movie is out. What will you do then, watch the 2003 version again, while we enjoy the real Hulk?

A real Hulk that strays away from the comics more than the first one did :whatever: , this is so hypocritical its unbelievable.

Did i tell anyone else not to see it? No, i was just saying I will not be going to see it, how is that in any way me saying the world revolves around me? :whatever:

The comment was a general statement, but proved a point: You took as though it was meant for you. It was a blanket statement to ALL fans who feel the need to wollow in the fact that the movie is being made and not tailored to their liking. See you at the movies as I know for a fact you WILL go see it. It will eat at you that people will be talking about it and you would've been left out of the forum of discussion. You are too opinionated to purposefully isolate yourself, lol.:yay:

Now now now, lets not let my newbie post start a whole new argument. :yay:

Yeah, cos you just know me so well huh :whatever: .

Sorry, dont mean to be rude, but you dont have a clue about me, if i dont like the look of something, i WONT go and see it.

Regardless of the no talking news, I'm still fully on board with seeing this movie! I know it will still be enjoyable so I can't say that it's ruined, but it really does bother me with no end, that both characters won't be talking.
I just heard this, so my excitement just dropped WAY below Iron Man. I was actually looking forward to the Hulk more.
Seriously though, I don't know which is more annoying, the fact that the main characters now don't talk, or that because so many people who were introduced to TIH through the TV show, feel it's right he dosn't talk!
Ditto. But I'm sure a lot of fans of the Batman TV show think Batman should be that way too. Thank god the makers of Batman begins didn't go that route. People must think the Hulk is supposed to be like the Werewolf or something.

The fact of the matter is despite how you "think" is sounds wrong, that's the way it's supposed to be. Also note that Hulk doesn't have to constantly refer to himself, 3rd person. Anyone who trully reads the comics, knows that. So go find the right voice actor and create the right sound, pitch, tone etc. And redo the animation, until it's cool as hell! That's what I'm willing to do, why don't the people involved with this project feel that way, rather than just giving up? Like another person said, "It's NOT Rocket science."
My question exactly. If you think it's beyond your capability to make a talking character talk, then you shouldn't be involved with the project.

Basically this movie sounds like a modern version of the TV show.
I'm a Hulk fan! I know I'll like or even love the movie, but I truly feel like I'm only getting half the meal, rather than what was on the Menu. It'll be like "wow! That was fantastic!....if only he talked." Until it finally happens, that's the way it'll always be no matter how awesome the movie is.
If this is true, we're about to get another Hulk movie that isn't about the Hulk at all. ...Just like "The Incredible Hulk" TV show wasn't really about the Hulk. Hollywood just doesn't get the Hulk. Maybe it's best that they just leave it alone. I smell failure on this one, so that shouldn't be a problem for a few decades.

Maybe Iron Man will still be in theaters that weekend.

I can really respect a person that stands by their convictions, even if they disagree with my own.

Oh Geez, please tell me this isn't going to be a big budget bersion of the TV show--PLEASE!

I'm refraining from reading the script, but little things I've been hearing about this production have me believing they are leaning towards the TV show.

Why? The first film was almost perfect accept for Ang's heavy handed psychodrama treatment.

Man, it's almost as if the people in charge of these films refuse to just do the damn comicbook--it would make life so much easier for both them and us.

Oh well......

I agree but if you thought Angs was good I think you might be in line when this one hits.

Notice the smiley face after the comment, just pulling your leg AWJ:woot: . You guys are so sensitive, lol.

Its not the TV show. Read it and you'll see, then come back and tell us what u think.:cwink:

Anyone else afraid that the Hulk will look like a giant fake version of SHREK, like he did in the first?

He didn't. :cmad: Tired of that weak comparison that wasn't funny four years ago.

RUIN: For the person who's bent on being negative, anything.

SAVE: For the person who's bent on being negative, nothing.

Ruin: For the person who keeps comparing this to Ang Lee's as a measuring stick.

Save: For the person who lets Louis Leterrier's version stand on its own merit.

It is hard not to guage this film against the Ang Lee version as this is still viewed as a second film in a franchise. Is it fair to do so? Not really, but it is a natural correlation.

On the other side of your point, any film that has a new cast/director SHOULD be given a clean slate.

So I guess I am saying... I agree 100 percent with your take on this.

For the record, I actually liked Ang Lee's HULK.

over hype or quickly reacting to something that is not really there can ruin a film...
