The Dark Knight Rises What do certain casting suggestions make you think of?

Johnny Deep as the Riddler make me think of "This is the day you will always remember as the day you almost caught... The Riddler!!!!"

Joaquin Phoenix as Black Mask makes me think of Black Mask hugging Batman to death while saying "AND I THOUGHT YOU ALWAYS LOVED ME!!!"

What do casting decisions make you think of?

casting decisions make me think of the other billion threads like it. It makes me think of the dread I feel when I go into the riddler thread to find all it is are pictures of actors that fans like. I think of rolling my eyes at the zillion of Paul Bettany for Joker pictures that are posted and the inevitable debate over who is worthy of being in a Nolan Batman movie.

I really like Johnny Depp and I think Depp being in Batman 3 would bring it the same "HYPE" and "wow-factor" as Heath did. Depp has a ENORMOUS fanbase. But when I hear Johnny Depp as The Riddler..... I think zanny, wacko, comical antics.... like a Tim Burton version.... maybe its because Depps played so many oddball characters (Scissorhands, Wonka), that I can't see him as being a "serious" Riddler like I'm sure Nolan would go for... I see him as a total gag!

When I hear Angelina Jolie as Catwoman....I think uninspired, too obvious, and honestly, I don't think she's the best Catwoman.... not like how before Batman Begins Christian Bale was THE MAN destined to play Bruce/Batman.

When I think of casting choices I always think of a memorable scene they did and alter it to be set in Batman:

Joaquin Phoenix: "I will give the people the greatest villain of their lives."

When I think of Crispipn Glover being a favorite to have played Joker, I think about him hanging upside down, saying to Batman...

"You are my density."

"What?"

"Oh, I mean, you are my destiny."

Unfortunately, Michael J Fox is a little old to play Robin.
