The Dark Knight What do you think?

I don't mean to start another robin thread, it's more of a casting thread but if it`s in the wrong forum feel free to move.

Do you think that if robin is in one of the Nolan films WB will announce it publicly or would they keep it a secret like Sony did with venom in spiderman 3?

I never thought that Venom was a secret. I doubt we'll see Robin anytime soon, maybe movie #3.

i would like to see robin like if he is dark and not campy and i can see nolan putting robin in my thought is that robin will be in the franchise

I never thought of Robin in Nolan's franchise but I see Warner doing a separate franchise on him. Likewise with no Selina Kyle-Catwoman on this franchise.

I'll start a new "what do you think?"

I was thinking, if the Penguin is in the movie how about Deadwood's Ian McShane for the role? Personally I think he has the look, the voice and would fit Nolan's more realistic take on the content & characters.

If the Penguin is in there I'd like to see the British mobster/arm's dealer version that has been rumoured. Maybe have the umbrella's in his office, as a collection on the walls. And he always carries one with him. Bruce might pay him a visit and wonder why he collects umbrellas. Later returning as Batman with a fight ensuing and Penguin showing why he collects them, bringing out his various weapons. Just an idea.

But I think McShane is one of the only people I can think of that could pull of the Penguin in the new movies.
