What do you consider to be the biggest defeat by the following DC heroes?

When Batman inadvertently took out the entire justice league in tower of bable. Talk about trust issues. That was a major defeat for the entire team.

Regarding the 'Nightwing got raped' issue, it's not like Tarantula overpowered him and forced him into it....erm....wrong choice of words there. He was in a catatonic state (the words of the writer, Devin Grayson) and didn't have any idea what he was doing.

Yeah, so it was like all ok.

Awwww...has oo get de sniffoos because Batman beat your pwecious Soopooman?

not as badly as superman beat him in the watchtower lol

Beat him like a bald headed step child with no teeth.

Yeah. if it wasn't for WW's purple Ray he'd have been one dead orphan.

Wasn't he near death or something, Batman, that is?

yea it was, even though superman supposeldy went "all out" on batman, he managed to not be completely dead.

I'm pretty sure Supe's had to hold back.

"He can level a mountain, and Batman survived his out and out onslaught?"

"Maybe Batman is superhuman?"

Actually, the only reason Bat's survived was because he attacked him near the consoul in the JLA headquaters and he was able to push the emergency weapons button. Bought him just enough time. But still, he should have died. Even seeing a guy kill his wife in front of him, Supes still held back a little.

 When did I say that?

My point is that it's not rape.

Than what is it? I didnt see him consent.

In fact, if he's out of his normal mind, such as drinking too much, or with some head injury, it's not consent. Barely functioning enough to get your penis erect is not consent.

I'd be careful where you stick your penis in Kevin.

I'd warn you too, but the evidence is overwhelming that Leaguer is always willing. :o

Uhm, that's the classic example of rape. Being forced to do something that you're not sure you should be doing. That's like having sex with someone completely doped up on drugs or while in coma or something.

They swore they'd get their powers back, find a way to his Earth, and kill everybody there. Sure he coulda said, "And I could pull a cheese wheel outta my ass, but it's not gonna happen." But when you're talking three people that turned they're Earth into a dead wasteland, having killed billions, well, you can't really just shrug off a threat like that. He did what he had too. Even though it went against what he believed in. And as a result, he went a little mad, exiled himself, and grew a funky beard on War World.

Thats a load of crap, LOADS of villains (STILL with their powers and thus their threat is more credible) threaten to get revenge by destroying earth. Its a damn cliche in comics. These guys had no powers and he thought "hmmmm better kill em"??

Hell why not execute every villain with enough power to destroy the earth (who threatens to do so) in DC.

Tarantula drugged him. It wasn't Nightwing "falling into a catatonic state".

Yeah, why not.

that's exactly why it's a defeat! he lost against them! he did everything he stood against to, he executed three (now) harmless men (well, two men and a woman) even thou two of them asked for mercy. he was so scared even thou he'd allready beated them that he killed them...now that's not something superman would usually, is it?
