What if they SLOWLY turned Smallville into a full blown Superman series?

The Fortress has always been in the comics, the movie just nudged it back into the comics....which I'm ok with, because his Amazon Fortress was just stupid.:o

yes but this is the first time they made it look like the one from the Movie on the outside as well. But I don't know I kind of like the Amazon one it was something new and different which I felt they could have done alot with if given the chance.

What's funny is in most cases I'm ok with changes made and progression made. But I never could get into the Amazon Fortress, Superman is just meant to be in the Antartic. Go fig.:O

Just like the Ultimate Spider-Man series, I love the changes Bendis made to most of the villians, and most hate them...to each his own.

Ultimates started before (just slightly) the Spiderman movie (at least development wise for sure) and X-Men was influence but I think the movie was only one aspect of the books influence. Even if the movies never existed I'm sure the series would have still turned out the way it was.
All-Star has just turned out to be an overall steaming piece of turd. As a Batman fan, All-Star Batman and Robin was the biggest dissapointment ever. I'm thinking "Damn Frank Miller and Jim Lee? This is gonna be hot" and Frank Miller just wrecked with his writing, it makes you think Dark Knight Strikes Back wasnt a fluke and really when you look back at his other stuff you dont look at it the same. All-Star Superman was just boring though(WTF Lois a Superhero, Jimmy looking like Baxter Stockman out this bytch). They gotta step this series up cause it's looking weak and that's why there's a slow output on the series. There struggling to make amends.

That's pretty much my thought's on the All-Star series Luda, and the lateness of the books doesn't help make it seem any better.

Plus Ultimate Spidey right now is being written much better than the mainstream Spidey books....go fig....

Well ever since the Ultimate series came out it's always been pretty popular cause it's so well written to the times. I would love to see Fox Studios or whoever in charge of Marvel animation use the ultimate writers/illustrators to launch a series of DVDs and shows ( I know there's avengers but that aint really ultimates is it? I have seen it)

Yea, it's based on the Ultimates. But an Ultimate Spidey series would be cool.

As far as All-Star Superman I see where you are coming from but for that book you really have to be a fan of the silver age Superman. The good part about All-Star though is that it takes place at in time in history so this time we have Sivler -Age Superman, next time we could have Smallville, or Superman (Routh) or the Superman we have today or Kingdom Come Superman. So thats why I say wait and see with Superman. Batman on the other hand I see no hope for it but to start over.

Really with All-Star Superman and Wonder Woman you have to be a fan of books like New Frontier and Golden and Silver Age to like the books coming out. Now can they change it to the Ultimate line yea but I wouldn't.

Yea, All Star Supes, takes ALOT from silver age. Maybe that's why I have a hard time with it, I was never a huge fan of the Silver age/Earth 2 Superman.

But it really is not near as bad as Batman, I agree there.

Batman is trash I mean its been a year and you only have 4 issues out and just got to the Batcave.
