So what sm movie dose ever one think had the best first fight with the villain? I would go like this.

1. SM 2 dock ock bank fight
2. ASM2 electro Time square fight
3. SM3 Harry peter fight in the alley
4. ASM1 lizard under water fight chase
5. SM1 Green goblin time square fight

I'm a little uncertain as to what counts as the Lizard's "first fight." Spider-Man first encounters him at the bridge but the villain runs away. Then he finds him in the sewer and he just runs away from him.

I see what you mean. Got confused because the others like Venom and Dane Goblin only had one fight with him so I thought that's why you not list them.

Oh yeah I hear you about that but the sewer was still kind of a fight. I liked the sewer part because even though it was very short we had never really seen any thing like it in a sm movie before. We have had a lot of great fights in sm movies. I think that is one thing most people can agree about is that ever sm movie has at least one really good/great fight.

I really enjoyed the electro fight for the spider sense stuff and electro's powers but I felt a bit let down that it ended too quickly, that you had crowds booing and cheering (whoever let the booing/cheering thing in needs to be looked at) and that electro got shot by a dumb cop. I don't think that was completely electros motivation but I've gone into that before.

Dock Ock's was pretty much perfect. No silly stuff. Perhaps the actual fight wasn't as exciting and flashy as the electro fight but the absence of the booing crowds, dumb cops and the general fluidity of it put it on top.

I feel electro's had more tension when Peter was trying to calm him down but after that it didn't maintain it. SM2 had less tension by a pretty significant margin but maintained it throughout.

The other 3 had serious problems that separated them from my top two and the order of those is basically decided by my extreme lizard bias and my general contempt for the destruction of floating things

What was really great is that it was basically split up into two locations. It starts at the bank and finishes up on the side of a building. That's what I loved about the Ock fights in SM-2. Raimi really played to the two character's strengths. Ock can climb on buildings and things just like Spidey can, so he used it effectively. Same in the train fight later when the two of them are scrapping all over the sides of the train.

I voted for Spider-Man 2's fight scene. It's one of my favorite fight scenes in Spider-Man of all time. The way Spider-Man battles it out with Doc Ock on the side of a building is just brilliant. so intense. too bad Spider-Man didn't make a lot of quips and it ended in an anti-climactic way.

I always found the Peter/Harry alley air-fight so frantic and at such a breakneck speed that it was made worse by being in the dark... it actually gave me a headache...

Yeah they are!. I love the part in the bank fight where Ock is trying to sqezze his head and he uses his webs to pull a table into him sending him out thought the window and then the part where Ock throws a car tax door at spider man never gets old.

I hope they do. That train fight scene was so intense. I thought the goblin fight at the end of TASM2 was better because it was more intense IMO, if it was longer then it would definetly beat the train fight IMO

I thought the Goblin fight in TASM2 was not only too short but uncreative. It felt too "contained" inside the clock tower and consisted mostly of Spidey trying to web up the Goblin and doge his attacks.

That was a first class piece of action.

It was done with practical SFX which is why it looks so good and authentic. Just like how Ock's tentacles were often real being moved by puppeteers. It gave it all a real authentic feel. When Ock has Spider-Man gripped in those things squeezing his head, they were actual tentacles.

Yes, it's a possibility but I think the chances are relatively small. Maybe if they get a good action director it could happen with Sony. Otherwise I'm not sure.

But the bank is where the fight started. Unlike the Webb movies, the fights aren't always stationary. They move from location to location: the fight starts at the bank, then outdoors, and then moves to the side of a building.
