What has been worse for the Marvel Legends Line?

initially they did the hover chair.....but then they never used it.....cost and stuff....

here's the thing for me with that wave......The varients were bullseye and Hulk, when the easy alternative that would have been better would have been to make Dr Strange and Xaver varients, using the clear colored platic and have then in their astral forms.....it woulda been way better.

Didn't realise the Giant Man Havok was supposed to have a variant as well?

havok wasnt suppose to have a variant. they just decided on classic havok rather then modern. modern havok was just a proto

Am I reading this correct?:
Its towards the end:
http://www.uncannyxmen.net/showarticle.asp?fldAuto=1506

"Target: 6” Legends 2-packs that will be placed near the checkout lines like the Star Wars Order 66 - Iron Man and Black Panther, Iron Man and the Punisher, Spider-Man and Green Goblin, Wolverine and Hand Ninja"

I remember reading about those 2-Packs but I thought they would be MU...

You read it right. But what's written there is wrong. And whom ever wrote it an idiot.

Here is the correct text.

As with any successful line, Marvel Universe will continue to have retailer exclusives:
Target will have Battle 2-packs with Iron Man / Black Panther, Iron Man / Punisher, Spider-Man / Green Goblin, and Wolverine / Hand Ninja
Toys R Us is getting the 6-inch Marvel Legends 2-packs. The fan choices of Deadpool, Black Widow, and Valkyrie will be teamed up with the Hasbro picks of Warpath, Winter Soldier, and Hulk (McGuinness-style) respectively.
San Diego Comic-Con will get two Marvel Universe exclusives – an Ages of Thunder Thor and an Ultimate Captain America. Like last year’s SDCC exclusives, the card artwork on these will be by Joe Quesada.

And for more see this video of the slide show, where the two-packs were shown. Got 1:48/

I think when they started downgrading the accessories (eliminating comics, then custom bases and weapons, THEN articulation and a resemblance to the characters) it was over and done with. There were a few good ones in each new wave of toys, though. I thought the X-Men: The Last Stand tie-ins were good in general, as was Danger.

I'm still surprised Danger, even Xorn got figures...

Xorn was a big suprise imo... but him being another version of "magneto" is probably why he got the spot. Danger was rumored for a while, as was the other villain ... the alien guy from Whedon's run on Astonishing. Which was really popular so... danger doesn't suprise me as much with the modern push of figures (X-23, The Young Avengers, Doop, and Sentry which all came out prior to Hasbro's run)

Anybody know any good stands for the Galactus, Apocalypse, and Sentinel BAF's?

You mean a stand or a base? If you mean stand your best bet would probably be a doll stand that clips on their waist. If you mean a base....good luck with that. Maybe use the Sentinel bases that came with the earlier MLs, like Gambit, for the actual Sentinel. Other than that....I got nothin.

Sorry, lol I meant stand...do you know a good brand?

Maybe he's got loose joints? My Galactus will topple if I don't get him just right.

I don't know much about stands....but Lars just turned me onto Obitsu Stands from Japan. I was looking at the 6 inch figure stands but they also have doll stands that could probably work for you.

doll standsMeh. They don't do anything for me.

My Sentinel's okay, he's been through a couple earthquakes over here and hasn't toppled at all...Its my Apocalypse who has loose joints here and there, I have to get him just right or i'll notice through out the day he slowly hunches over and eventually falls over.........

put glue in the joints. then move the joints until its close to drying. helps stiffin the joints up without keeping them stuck

That would work better than a doll's stand up his crotch.

I guess its rumored the Marvel Legends 2-packs might have been pushed back to sometime in 2011???? WTF!

If thats true...I'm so through with Hasbro ML's!

Hear that Hasbro! :argh:

ML is for all intents an TRU exclusive line now. If they get pushed back it's TRU's doing, not Hasbro's.

i've heard nothing about the rumors... i thought they were still scheduled for this fall right in time for Xmas

That sucks if it's true.

6 inch figures are such a problem for Hasbro? WTF,man?!

I wouldn't blame Hasbro this time. ML is now a TRU exclusive line. Which means if TRU decides they want an IM2/Super hero squad/MU exclusive for fall and not ML. Then ML gets turfed till later, period. Hasbro has implied that there is a limit to how many exclusives per brand, per season, that one retailer is willing to take on.

I saw it happen with a pair of GI-Joe 25th ann. troop builder 5 packs (Vipers and BATS). They appeared in packaging with TRU stickers on them. Then never came out. When asked about it, Hasbro said there was no room for them in the TRU exclusives. And were cancelled.

I'll never understand why people won't get that Hasbro has MUCH less power in what comes out than the retailers do.

hasbro has the power to follow there biggest rival "mattel" and do online exclusives.... they've proven successful with resales of the comic-con exclusives, and the Sunfire figure... I have no clue why they seem oblivious to this.

Because Mattel's online exclusives two-packs failed.
