Since there's one thread for what was wrong then i'll make one for what was well done, but more related to the crossovers.
What i liked so far is that they didn't kill abomination yet and Hammer is still ready to return. I also think that the multiple characters are working better in these films than with others like X-men 3 and wolverine, Iron Man 2 sure had a lot of problems, but while the story sufered for this, the many characters were able to be properly used.

They haven't got anything wrong yet as far as I'm concerned. Maybe I'll change my opinion of that when Thor and Cap come out but at the moment it's an ambitious idea that's being pulled off very well. I never would have thought something like this could happen and I'm so glad it was Marvel who did it first.

The number one thing they go right was Channing Tatum not being cast

The very idea of making solo films that interconnect into a larger team film is SO RIGHT! Establishing and then bringing together four extremely diverse heroes is going to be fun to watch. They are taking a chance at making true movie history. I can't wait for Thor and Cap to lay the final groundwork. Judging by the trailers (especially the amazing new Thor one) these films appear to be as good as Iron Man, TIH, and IM2.

I love how some people think a thread like this is stupid at this point, yet they`re closed minded enough to certain changes that are inevitable in any and every comic book movie.

Just the fact that this is being made is so awesome. I love how they're establishing all of these characters in their own individual films first.

Okay is it just me? I've tried to read this post 5 times and still can't figure out what he's trying to say. LOL

I think they did a good job creating costumes for Thor and Cap that aren't going to clash on-screen together. The Avengers could have easily looked ridiculous if the costumes were off.

It's been pretty incredible at what Marvel has been able to accomplish so far. Not only do they get great actors and directors for their movies but more importantly they get the right ones. So far I'd say they have gotten everything right with The Avengers. Its understandable that people are unhappy with replacing Ed but at the same time they went out and got Mark Ruffalo, a fantastic and acclaimed actor to replace him. It's a risky journey that Marvel started and so far they have been spot on with everything and I can't wait to see how The Avengers plays out.

This (again)

putting kevin feige in charge of making it all work seems have been very right. consulting their top comic talent. contracts for more films than was the norm.

I find it hilarious that the what The Avengers has gotten wrong so far is about 10 pages deep and what they have gotten right is still on its first page goes to show you how negative the comic book community is in general :P

I know its a lot of debating on the other end but its a prime example still of how closeminded some people are.

Avengers Assemble! :cap::thor::stark::bh:

got whedon who good at mixing humor and high drama. Watch ,"Whole in the world" from Angel if you dont think so.

Alot of that is just fanboyism. There's really nothing to complain about. The fact that were actually getting an Avengers film is incredible to me.

What I enjoy most about art is people who are willing to take risks, and put it all on the line. That's what Marvel is doing with Avengers, and I hope it pays off. If Avengers doesn't do well, it will be too easy for the scoffers and the monday morning quarterbacks to say "I told you so", but I hope those same people will give credit if it is a huge success. My guess is there will be some people who will knock it just because they can, and you just have to ignore those folks.

In any case what an exciting time to be a comic fan!

Oh my yes, I can't say this enough. I'm so glad Krasinski wasn't cast.

I'm glad that they put Joss Whedon as the director, i hope that also helps him gain some more recognition

yeah Whedon is great director don't know if Favreau would have been good but Whedon just seems like the perfect director.
