Superman Returns What if Jason was a girl?

Are you going to actually Mod, or complain about someone complaining? It goes both ways. Or is telling someone their idea "sucks ass" A-Ok?

And are you attempting to say what he said was "decent conversation"? Are you seriously implying that? Because I WAS having a decent conversation with others in here before the post I referenced.
I "MOD" every single day....part of being a mod is knowing that you can't jump on every single thing that is said. Every since you were reprimanded for going over the boundries with some posts, you seem to think that every thing the even slightest off color needs to be reported and complained about....and you usually do it with a reference to me in an attempt to stir up trouble.

Do I like people using the term "sucks ass"....NO....but he didn't say that you personally sucked ass...he said that ideas did, and characters did....not you as an individual. All of you people have to realize...that someone not liking or agreeing with your opinion is not the same as them walking up and slapping you upside the head. They are simply giving an opposite opinion.

More than a dozen times on a daily basis I have to say all over the Hype....Stop arguing, stop name calling, stop the juvenile behavior.....but I don't ban every single poster who says something out of line...if I did, there would be about 3 of us left here. You people need to learn to be civil....you need to learn how to take criticism...you need to learn that not every one who disagrees with you is personally attacking you, your mother, or your dog....you need to learn to discuss things without being rude or crude or crass or cursing every other word....and you need to learn not to run screaming and crying everytime someone says BOO.

Basicly.....learn to discuss without fighting and complaining about everything that is said by anyone.

Ahh, very close. Ok, here it is in a nutshell:

Jason's Kryptonian and Human DNA are just not in "harmony". Lois and Superman find out he is dying, and Superman has to make a decision that is heart-breaking, but is in his son's best interest.

He places him inside the Red Sun chamber and removes all traces of his Kryptonian DNA.

Jason lives, Superman does the right thing (even though it takes away that connection to his son), and no threat of "Son of Superman" down the line.

You know what, I like that alot. I wonder if that could fit in with my Eradicator idea. The Eradicator coming down to look for him because he isn't pure blood. This would also get rid of that thread. I like the idea.

Yeah, DogofKrypton's idea is solid. I hope they use something like that. I can see it working. Nice one.

The hilarity of it all is that I said that every other idea 'sucked ass', not necessarily DogofKrypton's specifically, but I apologise of I offended. Also, the 'sucked ass' term was used somewhat ironically, as I'm usually the first to point out that American colloquialisms generallly, well suck ass. Heh.

Anyways, in keeping with the thread, I'm not too keen on that idea as Jason would still be around. Okay, he might be living with Richard in another city, but he's there, he's still Superman's and Lois' son.

I proposed that Jason was actually part of a grand scheme to preserve the Kryptonian line, as Superman had 'disappeared'. Were we went from there, I'm not too sure, but basic film theory dictates that everything happens for a reason and I'm not sure that depowering Jason, and sweeping him under the carpet is the most sensible of options. Who knows, I could be wrong, but that's the way I see it.

A very long post, that said very little. The only question I have is, point out 1 post that "crossed boundaries". Just 1. I admit I would keep going back and forth with people, maybe even a little too long. But it was YOU who wanted to tout "civility", so I'm following YOUR example.

Back on topic: I'm glad people agree that it is a simple, easy answer that can be incorporated in to "resolve" the Jason issue. I'll take a human, power-less Jason livign with Richard over the threat of "Son of Superman" down the line...

I agree Jason should be part of something huge not just be removed of his powers. That removing of powers is senseless and pointless.

I would have rather seen Superman with a daughter. The bond between a father and a daughter is a strong bond, as well as mother and son.

I don't know... not everything's happy and sweet with little girls. You have to be careful with them.

With boys like my cousin, you can punch them and it's cool.

LOL I also kick the crap out of my cousin.

I dunno, I think the reason I would have rather seen the father/daughter angle is that in Donner's film, and most movies in general, the focus is always on father/son and mother/daughter, I would have liked seeing Superman come home to a girl thats never had a father. It would have been a nice change-up I think. And on that note, I wish that more emphasis was placed on Lara during Krypton related material, she should be just as important as Jor-El.
