The Amazing Spider-Man 2 What if this film gets nominated for a razzie

I would set the boards on fire.

It's not even their fault but I would set the boards on fire.

Man of Steel didn't get any nominations and that movie was more divisive.

If it is nominated for a razzie means the film sucked and if the film sucked then that means...

Wish I was on the giving end of that for once...

I did but I'm still 50/50. Electro looks good, I'm warming up to the look of Goblin but at the same time Electro looks like a loser. I mean he is suppose to be one but God almighty making him look like this?

When the actor looks like this?

So it does seem overcrowded and there are a few spoilers that pisses me off BIG TIME.

I do agree about pre-Electro Max.

They should've kept him looking like Foxx.

Well the glasses askew thing is just one scene.

For all it's many faults, this movie does not deserve a Razzie. But then who takes the Razzies seriously anyway?

I was recently thinking about Electro and how to do his origin differently to fit someone like Jamie Foxx. I remember they said his mother forgot his birthday and I went deeper to that. The focus of Electro shouldn't be on Spider-Man but maybe his mother. Hear me out in my take:

I have Max Dillion who is around 25 and works for an electric company. He was a college football star who could have made it to the pros. The thing with my take is his relationship with his mother. His father left him at an early age. His mother never really cared for him and was too strict on him. Max basically tried his whole life to make his mother proud of him. He got good grades, popular at school, took care of his mother. His decision to not go to a certain college was because his mother thought it was too far away. His decision to not play football was because his mother said he could get hurt.

I wanted to make Spider-Man and Electro very different. As Uncle Ben said: with great power comes great responsibility. Electro is Spidey's most powerful rogue. I wanted him to be view different from Peter. He was a star athlete, looked good, got the girls. Another thing in making him different from Spidey is his relationship with his mother. His own mother doesn't even love him and she gave birth to him. Meanwhile Aunt May is just Peter's Aunt who has always loved and supported Peter no matter what he wants to do in life.

That's the idea for my take on Electro basically that could fit someone like Jamie Foxx.

Curious, what spoilers pissed you off? (I've already spoiled myself, so it's not a big deal).

The one that said that only Peter could have been Spider-Man. Anyone else getting bite by the spider, that wouldn't have happened to them. They wouldn't have turned into Spider-Man. Because the spiders have Peter's father DNA in them, only he could have been Spider-Man. Stupid.

Nolan got it mixed it. It's not anyone can be Batman, it's anyone can be Spider-Man. Spider-Man doesn't have fancy gadgets who amazing powers like heat vision or stretching or heeling. Anyone could have gotten bite by a Spider and had there life turned into that. Just really pisses me off.

Oh come on Green lantern is 26% on rotten tomatoes and that didn't get nominated for a razzie

why does everyone have to be so dramatic about TASM2 lol

Ah I see...I was flabbergasted with that too. It sounds too convenient to be taken seriously IMO.

If this happens, it will be an amazing year for film, with many high quality films. I might be wrong, but the idea that TASM2 would match the level of truly bad films from the past just rings wrong.

Don't half of the Twilight movies have more than 50% on Rotten tomatoes? They have all been nominated.

I don't think it deserves any Razzie nominations. It's a pretty average, unremarkable film, but it's not a trainwreck.

If Adam Sandler directs a Spider-Man movie, then it will surely be up for a Razzie.

A Sandler Spidey film may be better than one by Marc Webb.

Has Sandler ever directed a film before?

Well, I'm sure it would be better than Ultimate Spider-Drake

You guys do realize, if it's nominated for a Razzie that I will never let this go.
