The Avengers What impressive humanoid CGI has ILM done since Hulk 2003?

also the cave scene, which was also dark.
imo the best scene in Hulk was after his first hulk out and he walked towards his father in that dark hallway.

I love that scene too, I actually like how he hulks out for the first time, the buildup and tension & just that guttural scream Bana used. But for me, in Hulk, the best scene hands down was this

The range of emotions he displays, going from anger at another perceived threat, to shame as he realizes it's Betty, was fantastic, and IMO, trumps anything in TIH as well. The reflection off the water in his hair, just the whole thing was stellar. Too bad it was only this good for 1/4 of the time

I really believe ILM will really bring hulk to life correctly this time, with the advancement in technology and learning from both their mistakes and R&H's mistakes, I think we can expect to see an at least 85-90% seamless hulk.

ILM's Hulk just needed a more natural skin-tone, like this;

Their work on that movie was amazing. But, alas, since the movie sucked, no credit is given.

I have to disagree with those who found ILM's HULK in Ang Lee's movie looked good. It looked like a big man of plasticene. It looked really fake and took a lot of people out of the movie.

Doc Samson is correct concerning Jurassic Park and it's dinosaurs. The success of the movie was contingent upon them looking real and the audience percieving a tangible threat.

That's what needs to be accomplished with the VFX for THE HULK in THE AVENGERS!!!

I think when trying to make completely organic CGI creatures it's hard to make them move in a way that looks natural because the human eye knows how an organic creature should move. Any momentary jerkiness or any slight deviation from the norm just does not fool you at all.

Uncanny valley.

Yes, an intriguing concept.

On which side of the valley should the VFX aim for.
