Which actor or actress benefited most from being in Infinity War? Who was helped most by the exposure?

In my opinion, it was these:

Elizabeth Olsen
Pom Klementieff
Tom Holland
Karen Gillan

Chris Hemsworth got a good boost from IW where he was one of, if not the MVP... Ragnarok flushed his comedic chops and overall charisma/likability a lot but IW delivered an even more nuanced and deep performance.

Just the acting in that scene with Rocket. The amount of layers, the emotion, sadness, anger, despair... all wrapped up with a smile and a glimmer of hope. Hats off to him. And it just adds to his credit as an actor, being able to pull drama while talking to a CGI rabbit.

Tom Holland I also thought gained some credit. He is a likable character. I like him a lot as SM. Zoe Saldana also did a great job. Brolin and Cumberbatch also cemented their status. Brolin as a great performer and Cumberbatch as a great Doctor Strange.

Tom Holland
Elizabeth Olsen
Josh Brolin

Cumberbatch is obviously already very well known but I think having such a great role in a major commercial film will make him that bit more popular. Hemsworth also would have got a bigger boost after Ragnarok already helped him plenty.

It depends on their future roles in the MCU if any, but I would agree on Pom Klementieff and Elizabeth Olsen and add Danai Gurira.

Olsen got her first big chance to show off the dramatic acting talent that got her into the MCU in the first place and got her first good criticial reviews, and that was very important if she was ever to not just be the new Jeremy Renner, i.e. a promising young serious actor trapped in a thankless MCU role. Whether she'll get a more important role in the MCU is still up in the air but at least fewer people are asking whatever happened to her early promise.

Gurira jumped from being a player specific to Black Panther to being maybe the iconic "badass normal" warrior in the MCU as a whole.

I'd also add Cumberbatch, not that he needs career help exactly, but his first movie attracted some criticism that he was just Tony Stark with magic. By putting him next to the actual Tony Stark and giving him more of a distinct personality, they probably helped him get beyond that.

Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen, and Tom Holland in that order.

The guy who played the bus driver.

I think Paul Bettany, Winston Duke and Benedict Wong will get some extra attention after IW.

Holland is already a star in the making. Even without IW, he’s projected to become one of Hollywood’s rising star.

I think IW helped extend Hemsworth’s career in MCU the most. He was excellent in Ragnarok but you wonder what’s going to be his career arc now that he’s pretty much played both Earth and Asgard universe with regularity, but this opened up some very exciting possibilities mainly Thor in Space with the Guardians or even with just Groot and the Rocket.

On a slightly smaller scale, I can see more casting offers for Pom and Dave Batista.

Lol what? Why are people saying Elizabeth Olsen? She's been doing fine for years before, during and after the MCU exposure, and she's appeared in 3 of their biggest 5-6 movies by this point. Her career has actually been one of if not the most consistent out of everyone else in the cast.

I can agree with people saying Hemsworth-- but more in the sense of keeping him relevant.. I didn't want to use that word, because I think he's pretty solidly-established in Hollywood where he wouldn't be forgotten, but outside of the MCU he hasn't had much success, and frankly the big hits like Infinity War will always keep him on people's radars forever.

I feel like that was the reason they were paired together in the film in the first place. The Russos/Markus & McFeely wanted to dispel that criticism and the comparisons immediately, just get it out of the way.

Doctor Strange. 100% better in IW than he was in his own movie.

I'd go with Pom. She is basically an unknown

Hemsworth is a big star despite so many flips. I hope Chadwick can get a big career boost. He deserves it. Far more range than Chris

Avengers: Age of Ultron
I Saw The Light
Captain America: Civil War
Wind River
Ingrid Goes West
Kodachrome
Infinity War

Her last 5 movies got over 80% on RT, with Ingrid Goes West and Wind River at around 90%. However she is the lead in none of the above movies.

Hemsworth has not had much success outside Marvel but Rush got him a lot of critical kudos.

RDJ has both benefited from and benefited the MCU; without him the other actors would not enjoy their current success. He is the biggest winner and biggest benefactor all at once.

Does it matter? The point here is all these actors names getting around, top-billing or not.

The MCU might spread her name to summer audiences, but she doesn't NEED that spotlight for her career like people here are suggesting. She's doing fine booking roles on her own, and showing her true talent in all her other/smaller/indie movies (which can catch high-tier directors or audiences eyes better than starring in blockbusters sometimes as well).

Of the bigger actors probably Josh Brolin, beyond that it's a great credit for Ariana Greenblatt to have on her CV.

Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen. Dave Bautista gets an honorable mention in the meme community.

None of them surely? Not yet, anyway. It hasn't been long.

Probably Pom.

Holland was getting roles before Spidey, though it boosted his career into arguably A-list. It's helped Gillan as well. Olsen was getting roles here or there. Pom is practically unknown. And she was probably gonna be that before Guardians/IW.
