The Rock as Black Adam is all sorts of win.

From the look of it, we could be getting a Black Adam origin story of sorts...and for the people disappointed that he isn't playing The Big Red Cheese, well wasn't BA Shazam's original champion before turning bad? So technically, he is playing Shazam/Capt Marvel...just not the Billy Batson version.

I see what you are saying, but no, that's not the case. It's a matter of the actual character(s) for many fans of Captain Marvel.

Not since the Connected Universe thing. Marvel Studios for whatever reason has not announced Black Panther yet, although I think they will.

I'm gonna get a lot of flak for saying this but I personally feel Black Adam is a more interesting character than Capt Marvel. Especially the way he was portrayed back during Infinite Crisis.

Well, The Rock did an interview with an international publication possibly hinting that Shazam COULD connect with the MOSVerse. Again, who knows?

yeah, i guess only time will tell.
The Rock as BA can be a great villain for JL so i'm hoping for the best.

I think the main thing that the Rock wants is a film that doesn't have to act as a "lead in" to any other film. I'm fairly certain that WB/DC would want both Captain Marvel and Black Adam in a future "team up" film but by doing it this way you can dedicate an entire film without having to bog it down with existing lore.
