What Is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Cooking With DC Thread (Black Adam)

This the Rock has been portrayed as white in almost every movie. Hollywood thinks he's white enough to play a white guy. If no one knew his parents were black no one would even know he was HALF black.

Rock looks more white to me than he looks like a black man,

I think the Rock would have a problem with you saying that. Hope you don't get attacked by The Nation of Domination

You guys are getting really stupid.

How does he look white? Like at all? No one, and I mean no one would look at the Rock and guess his ethnicity is white.

I would love for him to play Black Adam. I always envisioned Captain Marvel is more of a man child in personality.

I don't think any movie I've seen Dwayne in has portrayed him as a white man; he's always been shown as mixed, black or even hispanic, but I never seen one portray him as a white guy.

Exactly how does he portray a white guy?

The only reference to race is playing Roadblock in G.I. Joe, who is black.

Absolutely agreed. The guy has charisma out the wahzoo and is a huge pick up for DC.

He doesn't look "white" but he's relatively racially ambiguous which has helped him I feel as an actor. That along with his massive amount of charisma has made him the 2nd highest paid actor in Hollywood.

That's why playing Hercules and probably Captain Marvel isn't being contested by anyone. Racial ambiguity does that.

Were not actually sure if he's Shazam or Black Adam. That's probably why it's in the dc comics thread instead of the jutice league thread.

There's a third possibility. He could be playing both Captain Marvel AND Black Adam through the magic of movies.

I think that's inevitable in a genre where most superheroes end up fighting some sort of dark doppleganger. Go all the way and have fun with it.

That's a possibility, sure.

Because as the Rock will tell you... the only person who could have a shot in hell at give the Rock a beatdown... is the Rock.

True and blacks come in varied looks and skin tones.

The rock looks basically black to me.

After some time thinking about it, I kind of want to see him play Shazam and Black Adam. It would be the best of both worlds literally; plus the only person I could see take on the Black Adam role against Dwayne has already been cast as Aquaman, :csad:

This.

The Rock is on at the Paramount panel

I totally got a bunch of people to chant "Shazam!" at him at the panel. :D

The Rock is a genius marketer. Just gave a hint that basically everyone new and yet didn't reveal who he is and everyone still goes crazy

From Hercules to SHAZAM -or Black Adam- in movies
Fitting
