That's what I saw him say in Prelude to Final Crisis
I recall him saying it in new 52 also.
Lets just hope and pray they don't get someone like Jaden Smith to play him as a child.
What????????? Does that tweet mean?![]()
I know...they could rename the wizard "Mentor".
Problem solved.
I can see the Shazam look in The Rock, and I didn't know Shazam could match Superman.![]()
H is for the strength of Hercules, strongest of the gods. Billy is empowered with Hercules' nearly limitless superhuman-strength which is often compared to, rivals/ matches and possibly surpasses that of Superman. As such, Captain Marvel's strength is of the highest level and is sufficiently vast enough that it enables him to lift/move unbelievably massive and/or heavy objects possibly on a planetary scale or higher with little effort. Because his strength level is so high and potentially dangerous, Billy Batson constantly uses great restraint, thus he usually only uses as much strength or force as is necessary to accomplish whatever his given task or challenge requires. Because of this he is not often seen moving objects of a planetary scale though accomplishing such tasks are well within his abilities
Superhuman Strength - Captain Marvel has the ability to lift well over 100 tons with minimal effort and has battled top tier beings such as Superman, Wonder Woman and Black Adam. Captain Marvel has stalemated Superman in an arm wrestling contest and has at least matched Wonder Woman in raw strength. The limits, if there actually are any, of Captain Marvel's strength are unknown.
He did get his powers from the same wizardAnd in the DC universe online opening cinematic.

He is as fun loving as a child?I still think he's Shazam. He has a lot of personality traits that go hand-in-hand with the character.
The Rock was on Today talking about his DC comics role:
Yes, it is going to happen, he told NBC's Today host. Ive been dying to announce it by the way We still have to find the right writer. Were having two, three takes right now. But Im very excited about it. Its going to be great. Ive been waiting a long time for this and so have the fans, by the way.
It has to be Black Adam.

Shazam isn't really vicious.

“Yes, it is going to happen,” he told NBC's Today host. “I’ve been dying to announce it by the way…We still have to find the right writer. We’re having two, three takes right now. But I’m very excited about it. It’s going to be great. I’ve been waiting a long time for this and so have the fans, by the way.”
“I don’t know,” sighed the star, when asked if he could ever see the movie happening. “I can never say that with truth. The truth that I can tell you is that I would love to play Black Adam.”
There’s a lot of [factors in play], the studio will have to decide on that, whoever the director is – hopefully, it will be Pete Segal – who is still very passionate about the project. Both of us are, by the way. I’m not too sure where it’s at right now, but I would love to [do it.”
“What I’ve found is [playing superheroes] is a lot more specific than [looks],” he explained, saying the Shazam character would be a rare mix of looks and backstory being perfectly suited for a star. “That’s why Black Adam resonated with me, especially once I started to understand the story of Black Adam and how he related within his story.”
"What's interesting for me about Black Adam is that it was something I've never done before. There's an intensity and a blackness to Black Adam that I find intriguing," he gushed. "I find him [so] interesting - I was blown away."
Approached about two roles in the upcoming superhero movie “Shazam,” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson last month issued a challenge to fans of the comic : Should he play the heroic Captain Marvel, wielder of vast magical powers, or the villainous Black Adam, enemy to all that is good and pure?
Responses came by the thousands on the MTV Movies Blog and through e-mail. And in a loud, nearly unified voice, the fans stood up and told Johnson that he was their man for Black Adam.
So sayeth the fans, Mr. Johnson. Now what sayeth you?
“I sayeth Black Adam as well,” he said, a wide grin across his face. “I’m meeting with [director] Pete Segal tonight [Thursday, November 1] and we’re going to talk about it.”
Yes, the Rock has shown his kid side plenty on screen... I don't think there is a better fit for the Captain Marvel role.
And Marvel changing Ms. Marvel to Captain Marvel just to copyright and eff with DC is petty and stupid, there is already a real Captain in their lineup and I can't even understand how they legally made this possible when DC has had the Captain Marvel character under their belt for so long... DC must have some pathetic lawyers thrown into that one.

it was way before all that.
When superhero comics became popular again in the mid-1960s in what is now called the "Silver Age of Comic Books," Fawcett was unable to revive Captain Marvel, having agreed never to publish the character again (as part of settlement of the lawsuit). Carmine Infantino, publisher of DC Comics, licensed the characters from Fawcett in 1972, and DC began planning a revival. Because Marvel Comics had by this time established Captain Marvel as a comic book trademark, DC published their book under the name Shazam!. Since then, that title has become so linked to Captain Marvel that many people have taken to identifying the character as "Shazam" instead of his actual name.
Did DC's publisher in those days have a side career as a mafia don? lol
That's pretty cool

Good way of thinking on his end![]()

Actually Mr Infantino is responsible for streamlining the Flash. He turned the Flash from the Jay Garrick version to Barry Allen version. He's was artist and this book is hailed as the start of the Silver Age of comics.

In 2004, he sued DC for rights to characters he alleges to have created while he was a freelancer for the company. These include several Flash characters including Wally West, Iris West, Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Mirror Master, and Gorilla Grodd, as well as the Elongated Man and Batgirl.
