I've wondered that myself. Maybe the blind person is the passenger on the backseat and he/she wants to take money out but don't want to walk to the bank?

Yeah, that's when it's fun. When you're posting to prove someone wrong or prove yourself right, but to gain insight on exactly why this guy or that guy feels differently than you. I wish there was more of that.

Again though, it seems so rare. Anywhere. Granted, I don't post in Misc. Movies a great deal.

I grant you it is rare and virtually extinct in the comic book movie sections but in community and in misc movies ive found some good debates conducted adultly in the last few weeks, like the one on prostitution and the one on the Alien movies, different ends of the spectrum but both debates done the right way.

You should pop in more often, it's often more relaxed than the other sections.

It would cost more money to make all the part templates and such to create buttons/faceplates with braille and some without. So instead, everything is manufactured with braille on them. Some get used on walk up units, some get used on the drive up units.

That's what he told me...but I can't really say for a fact that's why. But it seems logical.

Logical. So it's all about saving the bucks and has nothing/little to do with actually servicing the blind.

Not quite. Because, if they didn't care about servicing the blind, they would just make all of the buttons without the braille. But since they want/have to cater to blind people, they do include the buttons on their machines, and to save a few bucks, they just include it on all of them instead of just the handicap-accessible ones.

But I've never seen a blind person drive before.
However, like I mentioned above... that was the most logical explanation (huskerweed) I've read. And there's no harm in saving some bucks by manufacturing a product that can serve both the blind and those who are not.

They make a generic ATM keypad to cut down costs and make them easier to repair. This way, when they have to replace a keypad or install one they don't have to ask: is this for inside the bank or for the drive thru?
