Iron Man What is your favorite scene from the movie ?

I almost wet myself laughing at repulsor tests....

Loved how IM just yanked the fat terrorist through the wall and left him to the mercy of the villagers, man that guy was screwed.

My broher leant over during the pole dancing flight attendants scene and whispered, 'I want one of those'

hmmmm.......

probably stane shouting at the scientist blatantly jealous about stark's intellectual genius..

also the part where he's designing the hand repulsors and he puts his hand into the cgi model, that was awesome but i'm an engineer so that's probably why...

Every scene that had Robert Downey Jr in it... oh wait, that's THE WHOLE MOVIE!!!

Seriously, In couldn't pick a favorite scene, so many were totally bad@ss.

Just little scenes really made the film for me.

"Nahuh, this is the Funvee, you gotta go in the dull and boring vehicle" (or something along those lines and then the follow up "How was the Funvee? Next time you ride with me."

also the Fire Extinguishing robot.

"Don't follow me around with it either I feel like I'm going to catch fire at any second. Just, wait for me to catch fire THEN come to my aid."

Again pretty much all of this is paraphrasing but you get the point :woot:

Of course Fury pretty much made the movie for me. So great to see Jackson in the role at last.

the "Humdrum-Vee" :woot:

Yeah, the humor really made a LOT of the movie. I was completely sold on RDJr's dry delivery. He was perfect in the role, just perfect.

Haha! Yeah that's it! Humdum-vee ahh, I love this film. It's an instant classic of mine.

Obviously seeing Samuel L as Fury was a huge moment, made even better by him mentioning "the Avengers project" but aside from that?

The pole rising from the floor on Stark's private jet.

His first flight (everything from the take off, to the kid on the big wheel, to his repulsor's kicking back in just in the nick of time).

The banter between Stark and Rhodes in the fighter jet sequence.

The goofy terrorists watching what Stark is doing and trying to figure out if that's the missile or not :woot:

I personally LOVED...

Stark talking about how a superheroes girlfriend is supposed to worry about his secret identity and well being etc etc etc...

...TOTALLY mocking the tedium that most superhero films have :)

Yes, I loved that entire scene. Especially when he's all
"Do you remember that night?" and Pepper's basically like, "Oh the night you left me?" ROFLMAO.
:woot:

Stane yelling at the engineer.

The multi-target shot.

"Next time, baby."

The "Avenger Initiative".

Pretty much the whole movie.

When Rhodie looks at the armor and says "Next time Baby" and after the credits with Nick Fury says he was there to talk about the "Avenger Initiative."

Nick Fury
Entire MkIII Middle East sequence
10% Thrust

Two of my favorite scenes from the movie had nothing to do with action or the suit: when Pepper replaces Tony´s chest piece and when Obediah removes it. That´s the great thing about fantasy movies, you can take a metaphor and make it more intense and powerful by showcasing it in a surreal way.

The suits looked perfect, the actors were perfect, the "look" of the film as a whole was perfect, the story was perfect, even the details were great. Easily one of the best origin/first comic series movies.

Ooo thought of another one of my personal favorite scenes.

"You know what? I am Iron Man." Cut to Iron Man by Black Sabbath.

Talk about the perfect end credits song! I was rocking out to the creds man!

Me and my mate started singing the lyrics (seen as it was instrumental version) twas hilarious.

Oh and "Please don't turn down my music" While he's listening to 'Institutionalized' (I think that's the name of the song anyway.) Loved it.

Well, as soon as the Marvel intro started, I was sold ! No seriously, the Nick Fury line gave me the chill like when, at the end of X2, you can see the fire phoenix under the lake surface, just before the end credits. Pretty much every line RD Jr delivered was spot-on and he IS Iron Man no doubt. The Cavity Sam allusion cracked me up ! 'just don't touch the sides'... Also the fact that he was wounded by his own weapons was a nice touch like 'you deserve what you get' kinda thing. To me,that was necessary for him to get down his golden stand this way, in order to justify the eager he had afterwards to better and redeem himself. Thank you Mr Favreau and Mr Downey Jr to stay true to this part of the comic book, and not taking fans for ******s by brainstorming something else. The humour even tinted with cynicism (or not like with Jarvis, the series of trials and errors when testing parts of the suit) makes the film so much more enjoyable. One thing that B. Singer didn't get when he made Superman Returns.
I hope the shell-head is going to be given a few more sequels, and more ! Cross-over with all the Marvel Heroes now available on film would be great.

The whole movie!

But if I have to pick one in particular it's the Nick Fury scene. The Sweetest icing on top of an already delicious cake!!!!

His first fight in the red and gold and NICK ****ING FURY!!!!!!!!
