Iron Man What is your favorite scene from the movie ?

My favourite part ???

Let's see............mmmmmmmmh....well I LOVE the quiet scene where Stark is watching the catastrophic news about Afghanistan's guerilla fights, where he realizes he has to do something fast !!!:cwink::cwink:

The look on Downey's face at that moment: "This is because of me....!!" Awesome, that and his intense face when he puts the Mark 3 on for the first time right after !:p:p AMEN to that !

My favorite scenes:

10. Building the Suits:
With all 3 marks being built, it was nice to be along on the ride! The first one was kind of dragged on I thought but the second one was fun to watch him test and build everything and design it with that kickass computer!

9. Pepper:
It was nice to see Pepper be a mix of Jarvis and the Pepper from the comics. Also it proved she wasn't an idiot when she went rolling with the Agents and decided to stay with them for protection.

8. The guy who helped him build the missile:
This character was a good character to have included and having him die off was nice as well. Also saying his city was nice, really helped Tony realize the changes his weapons had made when he saw it on the TV days later.

7. S.H.I.E.L.D.
The title they kept using was amazing as well as the "Ooh that's a mouthful!" line was fun.

6. Jarvis:
Nice to see how they made him a computer. Really set it aside from Batman.

5. The whole revealing of "I am Iron Man" then cutting to the theme song:
It knocked a punch at all the people thinking "oh it's just another Superhero Movie, he's gonna get away with it!" and it caught every fanboy and fangirl off guard. Also, no other superhero film (based on a SINGLE superhero) has this move pulled and I'm curious to see how it's going to stand out.

4. The Humour:
From every time he messed up flying (like back flipping into the wall :lmao:) to things like his one liners, this movie had amazing funny parts to it! (Aside from "Is this needed?" that was the lamest joke EVER)

3. Keeping the old power-heart-thing:
As predictable as it was at that last second when he had it taken out of him, using the old one which we thought was through with was a nice touch showing how the writers really cared about this film and that things from the beginning of the film flowed with things from the end.

2. Nick Fury:
That final scene after the credits was amazing, and perfect for the fans.

"I am Iron Man... hmph. You really think you're the only Superhero out there?"

"Who are you?"

"Colonel Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. I'm here to talk to you about "the Avengers" initiative."

And one more thing: You CAN'T go wrong with Samuel L. Jackson... EVER.

1. WAR MACHINE:
Although the wasn't exactly in it, Jim Rhodes looking at Mark Two and the look on his face was incredible! And then the line to end it... "Next time, baby." I feel that means we'll be getting War Machine in the sequel!

All in all, the movie was fantastic and I felt I should post my 10 favorite scenes.

Favourite scenes,

"Admit it, this isn't the worst thing you've caught me doing".

And when Stark does the systems check on the MkII - Watching all the flaps and control surfaces moving was fantastic!

And the most ultimate bad-assed moment was when he blasted the tank after dodging the shell. Watch his walk afterwards, there's NO Tony Stark arrogance there, just 'threat neutralised, next target'.

I think the only reason why that scene hasn't been mentioned often here is because it was shown from the first trailer and we were all used to it...

WHAT!?!??! is there any question???...LOL!

Stan Lee's cameos are ALWAYS my favorite scene...I just love the guy, and THIS cameo was an absolute beauty!

And one more thing: You CAN'T go wrong with Samuel L. Jackson... EVER.

Indeed......:woot::woot::woot:

8. The guy who helped him build the missile:
This character was a good character to have included and having him die off was nice as well.

Agreed. That line he said " My family is dead...i AM going to see them" really choked me up.

yep....even during 30 seconds Sam was very convincing as Fury !
cause all Nick Fury does is yell and chew out the avengers, Samuel is known for his yelling and chewing people out. Perfect fit.

The tank shooting scene was badass, but of course that was in the trailer. Other than that, I liked the last press conference scene. I did not expect him to just reveal his identity, but it was pretty awesome.

10. The First time he tested his booster rockets in his feet. (Backflip into a wall)

9. Him shaking the hand of his captor and telling him "No I won't".

8. Testing his suit's power as he tries to reach space. Then later talking to Jarvis and revealing one day him flying to other planets. If noone got the Skrull/Kree referance there ... shame on you.

7. The reveal of the groups name as 10 rings.

6. Obediah with his arm around a paralyzed Stark and he evil guy monologes ... classy.

5. Him and Pepper Pots talking. She saying one thing and while shes talking hes talking. It was like watching a comic.

4. Him opening the chest after showcasing the Javilin, and telling the soldiers that for every 4 sold, they get one of these and he drinks a scotch.

3. The pole.

2. Unibeam

1. Repulsor rays.

two scenes stand out...
iron man using the sniping style weapon on the terrorist holding those families as hostages....and "You know what.....I am Iron Man" cut to the credits....they gave me chills

Those are (2) of my favorites as well, also loved the IM and F-22 chase and the Stark/Fury exchange at the end of the credits.
There are so many great scene's to count, the move exceeded my expectations.

Paltrow was smokin hot.

Anyway, I loved any scene with RDJ. He was perfect.

Stane ambushing Stark in his home, paralyzing Tony with a device then taking out Tony's mechanical heart.

That was cold.

It was cool when Tony's sentient robot arm handed him his old mechanical heart once he gave up. Reminded me of Short Circuit.

Pepper downloading the secret files only to find Stane unexpectedly appearing to talk to her.

When Tony suits up in Mark II then takes it for a test drive.

Tony firing repulsor beams from his glove to break the workshop's glass.

All of the fight scenes rocked. It's hard to pick which one is the best.

I thought so as well....
If that was true, I felt it had a better effect and brought Tony deeper into the destruction he has caused. It made (that guy he was a pow with)'s relationship stronger in that he forgave Tony.

Yeah...his final words to Tony; "Dont waste your life...", also very emotional...

some people went "awwww" at that scene. i have to admit it was kinda cute though

You know what part was also intense? When the Lead Terrorist was about to torture Dr. Yinsen. I really thought he was going to stick that hot coal down the old man's throat! :wow:

I love the sequence from after the Mark I crash landing and up until Tony gets into the car. So the whole "Tony is rescued and returns home" bit.

"He's all yours" Bad-assery!

The whole movie was great, but one of my favorite parts was when Tony's in the Mark 1, the frame where it shows everything go dark except for the computer screen, and you hear him 'un-hooking' from what he's attached too. You just know that some serious s**t's about to go down.:word:
