Iron Man What is your favorite scene from the movie ?

Too much stuff that i loved to mention, but what really stood out was when Iron Man landed before the village attack scene with an almight WHAM!!!!!:im:, and it shows him kneeling in that iconic pose. Glad Favreau left that out of the trailer for us to discover in the film.

What the hell was the deal with the terrorists and all those different languages? I know they said the group consisted of members from an eclectic range of nationalities... but the fat guy was speaking Arabic... the guy screaming at Yin Sen (where Stark is trying to escape) was speaking something else... but the bald guy was speaking Hindi it sounded like. Or some Indian language... now what the heck is a Hindu doing in a terrorist group with other Muslims? That was just weird... anyone else pick up on this?

Considering I don't speak any of the languages, no. Considering all these guys are complete *******s with their own agendas maybe they worked it out...?

I loved every suit up scene, especially when he suiting up to save the village. You could see from RDjr's expression that he was a man on a mission. It also helped that they had three distinctly different armors to show off.

aw what the heck I want to play as well

1. best put down ever
reportor - so, after all these years tony still has you picking up his laundry...'
potts - 'yes its one of the many unpleasent things I have to do like taking out the trash'
OUCH!!!

2. next time baby
anyone and I mean anyone who reads and has read iron man in the past and knows anything about rhodey would have geeked out at this line.
I was like - :word:
my friend who knows nothing about iron man was like -

3. suit up 2 (silver)
when all the flaps open and close. you know this is cg but it is totally convincing, iron man HAS to be up for an oscar.

4. suit up 3 (red and gold)
that was freaking awesome and for me the only time when the score compliments the action because you feel the tension

5. iron takes out the terrorists
man is about to get shot in the head but iron man lands in the village and takes out the nearby terrorists with his reploser beams. brilliant!

6. target lock.
striaght out of robocop but still a brilliant scene. locks onto the remaining hostages and takes them out similtaneously(sp)
okay, wow...just, wow

7. stane's rant
scientist - 'it can't be done'
OS - 'tony stark did it in cave with a bunch of screws (parapharsing)'
scientist - 'I'm not tony stark'
that scene made me laugh

8. good boy
little did tony know that by returning the heart he told pepper to destroy she would be saving his life.
tony crawls to the heart but doesn't have the strengh to reach it, in steps jarvis to save the day...

9. ring ring...
an unidentified object is out running two migs and rhodey wants to find out if tony knows anything about it so rings tonys cell, next scene you hear the phone ringing in tony's armour.
definately the biggest laugh from the audience of the night

10. and my number 1 scene (even though I it numbered 10 :o )
'do you think you are the only superhero, I'm here to talk about the avenger iniatitive'
freaking awesome

iron man imho is second only to SM2 as the best superhero movie of all time and I wouldn't argue the point if someone said they think it is THE best because I'm a spidey fan so there may be a bit of bias there. an awesome movie that with ease washes away the stench of SM3, X3, daredevil, ghost rider, and both FF movies proving marvel needs to be more hands on to produce good movies.

it's showing terrorism beyond the cliche. like bad guys of different nationalities working together, i liked how he mentioned ruling asia, and showing and mentioning men of different asian (the continent) nationalities. it goes beyond the older cliches of generic 1 type bad guys, i.e. all irish or italian mob, all black gang, all muslim fundamentalists. this is showing globalisation fand it's affect of crime/terrorism.
it's shows men with a common goal, power.
i'm sure the 10 rings organisation is more than just another "arab" group, i have a feeling they are global, and they were the smallest of the cells.

any way back to topic. i liked the dance scene with pepper and tony, it showed the complexity of their
relationship.

though a scene with an honerable mention is the test with 10% thrust capasity, a bit slapstick but i've seen it 3 times and it's still hilarious. someone flying into a wall is always gonna be funny, and this is coming from a person who did a frontflip into a brick wall in P.E.

Yeah, I've got to say that, ironman's landing in the village was like the bet official introduction of any superhero. It was just so bad ass and then when he started cleaning house, of man! I want to be tony stark!! Hell, when I got home, I started drinking.

I liked the undercurrent of humor throughout the film. It's almost like Stark, while taking his new station in life seriously, didn't take HIMSELF seriously, and I liked all the scenes that showed that.
His interaction witht he robot that kept spraying him with the fire extinguisher, his first try with the flight boots at 10%, when he flew upside down into the ceiling (I had to pause the movie and rewind there, since I was laughting so hard I missed the next minute or so.)
His joking during his cardiac arrest with Pepper, etc.

I hate to nitpick, but those jets that were pursuing Ironman were not Migs (Migs are Russian made aircraft.) but American F-22 Raptors.

Nope.
Got a copy from the studio. Completely legit.
Edit:
Also am going to see it in the theater this weekend, as it has to be even more impressive on the big screen.

:oldrazz:

Pardon the language but hell yes it's a better experience! Audiences love this movie! Plus all the rumbling sound FX really shake the theater. It's an awesome ride indeed.

I've got the newest Dolby Surround, (whatever it is). I had all the speakers up, the bass boost up, etc, but yeah, I'm gonna see it in ear-splitting theater sound asap.
Doom, don't jump to such conclussions. I would never bootleg a movie.

There were a hell lot of awesome scenes but one scene I kept thinking of as I was walking out of the theater took place during the village rescue when Iron man dodges the huge missile from the tank and fires off a mini version off his own....first everybody in the theater kinda laughed at that and then the awesome part where he starts walking off and BOOM!....and everyones like :wow:...
pure badass!

another good one was when the Mark II suit was shown in full for the first time just before Stark took it out for the test...awesomeness...

The Nick Fury scene & "Next time baby" has to be two of my favorites

:word:I agree dude also the first time That guy from shield came on. I just wish they changed it to Clay Quartermain. The scene in the village when he took out the terrist with the mini machine guns. Tony's speach about protecting the people he put in harms way reminded me of the armor wars run.

also liked the scene 'Just call us SHIELD'....there were faint whispers from the fanboys going around the theatre as soon as that was said...while others were like 'what's the all the buzz about..?' :woot:

I loved after the tank shot him down, and the shot is a close up of :im:'s hand, then his head rises up...oh, that tank was freakin dead.

Even with Fury, my vote still goes to the SHIELD reveal.

My first time seeing it was when he dawns the first suit, takes on his guards, then jets off.

When iron man goes to the middle east and kick some a$$.
