What Kinda Wrestling Thread You Runnin' Here?

Would anybody be up for Lesnar vs. Bryan even if it wasn't for the title?
I would definitely like to see it. I think the title makes for a better story since it would be him taking down what no one has been able to do since Lesnar won the title.
Here's what I thinking lets say Lesnar loses the belt at WM due to Cena pinning Rollins. Lesnar gets pissed off that he wasn't pinned and takes it out on Cena. Rollins waking up from a AA sees his chance to cash in his MITB and takes the title from John Cena.
If Cena wins, he's pinning Rollins. Like Dr. Evil said, Rollins is getting a RKO and Orton/Rollins will be a WM match. At least, that is how I have thought it would go since he took out Orton.
Enter the RR the Final 4 Roman Reigns Daniel Bryan Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose. It comes down to Bryan and Reigns what if for some reason Brock gets involved simply because Bryan has been talking about having a possible match with him at WM. So he costs Bryan the match setting up Lesnar vs. Bryan for WM Cena vs. Rusev and Rollins vs. Reigns at WM. Just a thought cause the only reason I could see Reigns getting Fan Support is if he faces his former team mate that turned his back on him.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens in this year's RR since it's not a Batista situation.
Respect.
After 'Mania. Although, they are considering taking the title off of Brock at the Rumble. They don't want a situation with Lesnar like they had with Bret, in which the champIon was known by everyone to be leaving after a big ppv.
Or when he faced Goldberg, but that was a different situation and him losing the title before he's gone would be huge if the right person is facing him.
This. Folks can complain about Cena all they want, but as long as he is making Vince money, he's not going anywhere. Yes, his act is stale. Yes, he's been doing the same thing for 10 years. Yes, he could benefit from a Hollywood Hogan-style heel turn. But women love him, children adore him, and he still moves an insane amount of merchandise for WWE.
See my comment from earlier. To address your other points:
Until Vince can find someone who:

1) has Cena's all-American clean cut look
2) is well-spoken
3) carries himself well and won't get into trouble in this TMZ age
4) will become a total company man who will project a positive image of himself and WWE on talk shows and Make-A-Wish appearances
5) sells an obscene amount of t-shirts, baseball caps, wristbands, headbands, dvds, etc.

then you can expect to see plenty more of Mr. Hustle/Loyalty/Respect.
Punk could have been that, but they didn't let him. According to him, most wrestlers were doing lots of Make-A-Wish as well, but WWE never highlighted that fact. He was a top seller in merch and sold more than Cena for a while.

D-Bry can become that, but it remains to be seen if they will. He looks like an every man, was getting tons of mainstream media exposure (just like Punk and they didn't even capitalize on it), and beats out Cena in merch sales every now and then despite the fact that he may have the worst merch ever.

Ambrose (pretty much the total package), Finn Balor, and Kevin Owens were top sellers, and while that was only one time, it should be an indicator that these guys can be importnant. Rollins when he has a face turn will certainly be good for the company.

The main difference between all of these new guys and Cena is that they relate more to an older demographic, but they still cater to kids. Vince never had a problem sending Stone Cold on TV to do good will for the company, but the major problem is that Vince is not changing with the times and can't see that he has people to take a chance on. He just hasn't done it yet.

Most people's problem with Cena is that he is still hogging the spotlight after this long when he doesn't need to be. He could step out of the main event and big storylines and still do what he's doing. The older demographic is tired of him because he hasn't evolved as a character. He can put on good matches with the right people but he shouldn't be in the spotlight anymore.
Complete cards for New Begining:
I really can't wait for Nagata/Nakamura. Both cards are going to be great, but that match is my most anticipated.
Fuuu...
Punk's certainly well-spoken enough to have been "The Face Of WWE," but I don't think he would have had much interest. Punk himself will tell you he's a miserable guy. Dude's a rebel who wants to live life on his own terms and march to the beat of his own drum. He just doesn't come across as the type who'd be interested in being WWE's corporate spokesman like Hogan, the Rock and Cena. I can't see Punk sitting there on set with Kelly & Michael yucking it up and waxing poetic about how great WWE is, even before he fell out with management. He just doesn't strike me as that dude.
Punk wanted to be the top guy, but when it became clear that Cena was still top billing, despite being the champ, he begged to be turned heel. I would have to if the I had the gold and didn't main event PPV's. The fact is WWE killed his passion.

Ambrose has to be a top guy by next year. I'd love to see him as a true tweener, a heel foil for Bryan yet retain his "faceness" against Rollins.

Nice to see Steph getting credit for her promo work and the undeniable star power of Ronda Rousey, along with NXT getting best tv show. The rest is the standard Japanese love-in I expected.

Good list. Definitely no qualms with those who came out on topm

So Mike Tenay is the seventh best and eight worst wrestling announcer?

Damn, I didn't figure that Bray Wyatt was viewed that negatively. Not surprised since most-Mania, he was neutered. Also, I'm kinda surprised that Cena/Cesaro or Shield/Evolution didn't get an honorable mention for MOTY.

Ok so I managed to get a hold of Smackdown already and without spoiling I must say....It's once again better than Raw so far IMHO. The plot is simple, flows well, and has good wrestling added. Bryan, Rollins, Ziggler, and Reigns cut some pretty good promos and Ryback cut a decent one too.

I think you guys are going to dig this Smackdown quite a bit...Everything seems to be booked with a purpose on this episode

Solid Smackdown episode. Everything was built up and booked with a purpose, the wrestling was pretty good and even some of the promos from Bryan, Ziggler, Rollins, Reigns, and Ryback were decent/good.

The Harper/Rowan and Ryback/Rusev matches were better than expected.

The Naomi/Brie match was passable and the Ziggler/Barrett as well as Bryan/Kane matches were both good.

The conclusion to the show was good and built up well even with the scarce usage of Reigns and Ambrose since it all came full circle during the closing brawl segment after the Bryan/Kane match.

If Smackdown keeps this up then it'll become my favorite non-NXT WWE show in No time.

Ryback had a very good match with Rusev on Smackdown. RYBACK had a very good match............Ryback.

Lol Yeah, who would have thought a lug like Ryback would have chemistry with someone in the ring...especially another "monster" wrestler?

The only thing I didn't like about Smackdown was the second half of the opening segment where Kane was droaning on and on.

So it was the same as a Raw opening segment, only with Kane not shutting up instead or Triple-H or Cena?

They rotated the mic between Rollins, Show, and Kane. Kane got the mic twice and I was begging for the segment to finish, but maybe it just felt longer than it was. The first part with the babyfaces talking was enjoyable though.

@Wheels: Wouldn't it be something if Smackdown ends up becoming the fans' favorite Main roster show by the end of the year?

If they can give us more shows like this and/or improve on it and take it to the next level, it will surely become mine.

Smackdown now has an entertaining cast of players involved, a decent theme song, and no longer just a recap show. I hope Vince doesn't f--ck it up.

That would be cool. Smackdown was kind of the fans' show from 2002-2005 or so then again in 2009.
